I needed the phone jack extension because hooking-up two HDTVs to phone jacks in my 58-year old home was not possible. This product enabled me to hook-up the second TV to avoid the $5/month charge from DISH NETWORK. The enclosed, written instructions were good and it perfectly worked. We were told that we could save money on our "Dish Network" bill if we had a phone hookup. We did not have a jack next to the tv, and the "Dish" people told us about the wireless jack. I purchased this item for my DirecTV Tivo unit and it works well. The device is able to make calls from a location in my home where I do not have a wired hard jack. I can't say wow enough for this product. All the time I spend in the crawl space of our home trying to run wires and borrow drill bits from the neighbors and such is over! This worked great. I needed to put my fax amchine across the room from the phone line and didn't want to run a cord all the way arround the room and up and over the doors. This simple little device did the trick. Very easy to use. No set up prequired. Just pluged everything it and it worked.
