After much research online, I decided to try this ipowerit crank flashlight based on the excellent price and features. The 5 LED light is bright, and if I had a Nokia cell phone, it would charge it. I have had it for just one evening, but so far, I am very pleased with its performance. After one minute of cranking, I have had it on continuously for one hour, and it is still very bright. It seems well-made, and was not flimsy in my hand while cranking. My only concern with it so far is that it takes a bit of effort to get the crank back into the holding position, and I don't want it to break while getting it in or out. I don't know how well it will retain it's effectiveness, as I have read in other models' reviews, but for now it is great.
Update on review: Feb. 18, 2009. I am extremely pleased with this flashlight's performance. I can crank it for one minute, and then it's power lasts all evening and even overnight with continuous use! I have tried this repeatedly over the past few nights, and the light slowly diminishes in intensity, but is still luminescent in the morning. What a great product!!
