I recently bought this item about a month ago and I could not be any happier with it. Granted there isn't too much bass and what not, but the sound clarity out of these speakers is amazing and there just a great amount of features. Being a college student, getting up early in the morning is a must and this product has options of setting up alarms in 3 different ways, what way you want the alarm to sound, etc. Overall, I'm very happy with this product. It's a bit pricey, but then again anything associated to Apple has always been expensive. this is an awesome alarmclock!!
i have been looking for an alarmclock that could play my ipod for awhile, but have been hesitant to buy because of the price and mixed reviews. this alarmclock is definitely worth the money!
the only fault i find with it is the lack of radio: the am and fm reception is almost non-existent (unless you like static). i didn't buy this for the radio, and i'm sure most of you won't either.
my favorite features are the several dimmer levels and the sleep-to-one volume/wake-to-another-volume choice. and it's always nice to have a remote too!

The best thing I like about this product is its ease of use. It arrives with the clock already set, all you have to do is set your time zone (it came set for EST). Then, to set it to DST there is a little switch at the back that does that right away, no time changing required! Not that changing the time or the alarms is difficult. But probably the best feature of all is the 5-day alarm mode - the alarm comes on only Monday through Friday, no more being woken up early on Saturday morning because you forgot to turn off the alarm on Friday! I love this alarm clock. It was very easy to set up. The clock and date were already set. I love that you can fall asleep to the ipod and wake up to the buzzer. I wasn't expecting to be able to blare this thing through the house, so I think for the size and price, the sound is great. I think in the previous model there were complaints that the display was too bright and the buzzer too loud. The buzzer is just right and there are various levels of brightness for the display. You can even turn it off completely. I have no complaints and would recommend this to anyone.Customer Review: Surprise and Delight

From the moment I plugged this in and heard the sound quality, I have not stopped smiling. Why did I wait so long to purchase an iHome?? Sound quality better than I expected for the low-end (priced) clock alarm system. Easy to use. Very gentle wake-up using music or alarm. I read some of the other reviews complaining about AM / FM reception. (First...why are you buying an i-Home for AM reception, but anyway....) I found the reception in my room to be just fine. In fact, tuning FM stations on this iHome is much better than the Sony time clock I just replaced.
