Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SwissGear SA9259 Backpack (Red)Customer Review: Huge sturdy pack, with plenty space (listed image wrong, see mine) Summary: 5 Stars
NOTE: Amazon's listed image is wrong. The ones I uploaded are correct.
When I saw this I had to have it. But @ target it was 60$ and since this was shown as red I got the one @ target. :( if only I'de known just the image was wrong.
Anyway, this pack is *huge*. And quite material heavy. But that just shows its sturdy. It has several pouches and pockets. The back pouch can accommodate a notebook pc or laptop. The main compartment has a media bag and pouch for cd player or other media devices (like mini DVD player or netbook). Many pouches have mini pouches inside (see my shared pics). I'm glad I got this though surprised at how big it is. But it was either this or the Ful Refugee, which was good but I didn't like the material. Overall I like my pack. I'm just really angry that Amazon had the right model (SA9259) but *wrong* image and discription which forced to pay twice as much in a store! Boo Amazon!
Customer Review: Swissgear red/black backpack Summary: 5 Stars
I really like this pack. I got it at 29.99 from Amazon as a Goldbox deal, and it's worth every penny. It is very spacious, the two side pockets are great for holding water bottles and the like. The front smaller pocket has lots of tiny compartment/pockets on the inside. The large compartment is divided by a separator, which is perfect for me because I mostly use this backpack for school. The main thing I like about this pack is all the cushion where it meets your back, more comfortable than my friend's Eddie Bauer backpack that is about the same size, same type of cushion style, and cost over $60. The media pocket on the inside of the larger section is real sweet too as they made it wide enough for a PSP or larger mp3 device, with the headphone slot it works great.
Just as great as the knives.
Customer Review: Great backpack, particularly when on sale!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I was so excited to get a Swiss Army backpack for $29.99 on sale, but I did not realize how much I would love this backpack. Different than the other reviewer, mine is red and black just like the pictures. I love the side pockets to hold the power cords of all my electronics and all the space for my camera and accessories, with a separate area for the laptop. At the airport, I can pull out the laptop without having to open the other pockets.
I love the weight distribution and how sturdy it is on the back, including the waist strap to help balance the weight. Can run through the airport with it.
I am surprised to see it at $139.99 ... it is probably worth it based on construction and design, but I would recommend monitoring the price if you aren't in a hurry.
Customer Review: $150?? no way, Search for Swissgear Hudson Ruckpack Summary: 5 Stars
I got this bag at Target for $60. Found a pic of it in OD Green and black, called the Hudson Ruckpack. It is $50 most places on the internet, but the price jumps around a lot.
The side zipper compartments are perfect for a water bottle (I like the nalgene flip cap bottle). Drain holes are a good idea, though I've never had a spill.
The dual clip flap at the top is perfect for quick access to a jacket.
Everything else is comfortable and carries well. Super tough construction. Good bag for $60, but for $150 you can get some pretty nice bags, so shop around.
Laptop compartment keeps the computer from hitting the ground, which is a must in any laptop bag.
Customer Review: Bag Received is the one pictured here and I love it! Summary: 5 Stars
For the lightening deal price of $30, this bag was a steal. Real good quality and tremendousy spacious.
I notice that people have received a different bag than the one pictured here, but I got the one exactly like the one in the picture.
Only hiccup for me - the key holder in the front pocket has a key ring where you slip in your keys. But the ring itself is a little annoying to remove and slap on back, but I can sure live wth that.
