This is a great product that is form fitting and designed to absorb a sharp impact as I discovered. The following is a note I sent to the manufacturer detailing my account.
Dear Elago Design,
Just wanted to drop you a note to let you know how impressed I am with your case. While I have purchased many of your cases for family and friends, I never thought of it as any real protection for my phone. I mainly bought them as a well designed scratch resistant back cover to keep my iphone looking good. Well today that changed...we are on vacation in Key West and our hotel room has mainly tile floors throughout. While rushing to leave I grabbed my phone with my sunscreen soaked hands and it flew from my grip and crashed directly on the tile floor. The attached picture shows the damage to your case but what you don't see is my perfect, unscratched and undamaged iphone. You have a great design here and a loyal customer in me, I hope you have already started a cover for the next iPhone.

The Elago 3G Slim Fit Case is, hands down, the perfect case for the iPhone 3G. Not only is it a tight fit, it's also light-weight. Once you clip it on, you will forget that it's even there. Unlike rubber cases, it slides out of your pocket/carrying case/holster with ease.
As far as protection for the front, I purchased the "Invisable Shield" by Zagg. Between the Elago Case and the shield, the iPhone is indestructible!
I highly recommend the Elago case for the iPhone. It is with out a doubt, #1 on my list of phone cases, and reasonably priced to boot!!!
Just read the other reviews and they will tell you the same... "good quality," "keeps my phone looking original and protected." and Carlos said it best with, "It looks, fits and feels like it belongs."

I was looking for a case that protects the back of the phone only (to prevent scrathes when kept on a hard surface), and leaves the beautifully finished front free from unsightly additions. This product met my needs perfectly. It has a perfect fit, so it feels snug against the back, while leaving the front un-cluttered (even the front silver edges were clear). It has just the protection I needed - including back and side impact/scratch protection. Some folks might perfer front protection too, but I dont prefer that. My only improvement opportunity for this product is to make the product logo/ url etc less prominent on the back bottom.Customer Review: Exactly what you need...

I read all the reviews and went to the Apple store to see what they had. Not only was this case a fraction of the cost, but it was EXACTLY what I was looking for. The case snapped right onto to the phone and is thin enough that there is no real noticeable difference in thickness...it's not bulky at all. This cover does not protect the screen at all, so I also ordered a see through plastic cover that sticks to the screen...works great and still looks awesome. Absolutely recommend this case for anyone...no fancy design, but it gets the job done and the rubbery feel to the case is pretty cool.Customer Review: Great Case

I love the iPhone case. In my opinion the majority of phone cases look terrible. This case maintains a very low profile and looks cool. It slides in and out of my pocket with ease. The best part of the case is that the low profile look really does not diminish the cool factor of owning an iPhone. Last week I accidentally dropped my phone down a flight of stairs; without a doubt the case saved my phone. I would highly recommend this case to anyone that owns an iPhone, wants to protect it, and does not want to look ridiculous with some cheap phone cover.
