This case is awesome. It fits snugly over your iphone. I know it doesn't protect the front of your phone so if your drop it and it hits anywhere on the front, you're not protected. But I got it mainly to give the iphone some grip. The rubbery (but still slippery enough) grip on my case helps me handle it well. And believe you me, I take much better care in handling the iphone than I have with any old cheapo cell phone I've had in the past. It fits well and is completely unobtrusive. Unlike most other phones, you hardly notice it's there, which is really how a case is supposed to be. The buttons are easily accessible and don't require weird contortions of your fingers to push.
My wife has one of those cases where it covers the front. She likes it because it gives full protection. To each his own because I hate it. You can't access the buttons well, it bulks up the iphone a bit and it makes the phone look U-G-L-Y.
Also, I would highly recommend the elago crystal clear film. I had a problem putting it on and created some airbubbles. But I was able to get most of them out. And otherwise, you can't tell there is a screen protector.
