I've not had ANY CD/DVD ROM that will read a CD/DVD all the way through with one of these protectors on it, HOWEVER this is not to say that they are no good. I put them on all of my important computer CD/DVDs. A lot of the time I'm in a hurry to get a project done, I whip CDs in and out and sometimes one slips and goes skidding across the floor. Or the case opens unexpectedly and the same thing happens. This way they are protected until I am ready to remove the Disc Skin again and inseret it into a drive. These work well in most of my DVD players. They didn't seem to work with PS2 as well. I would recommend them though especially if you have kids handling the DVDs.
