The Brookstone 5-Day Weather Forecaster has earned a special place in our household. Using the magnetic strip on the back we stick the unit to our refrigerator and it has become part of our daily routine - checking the weather before we get ready in the morning. We have used it for about 3 years without a single problem.
Pros
- Weather is usually as accurate as the weatherman on tv
- Small enough to stick on refrigerator
- Magnetic strip on the back will allow you to stick it to any steel surface
- Has operated problem free for the last 3 years
- No subscription fees!
- Automatically updates the time from a satellite
Areas for improvement
- Eats batteries - last about 3 months
- Limited coverage in rural areas - especially ineffective if you live in area of multiple climate zones... such as San Diego
- Plain black liquid crystal display
Final tally - works great for us, but if you live out of the coverage area... you may be out of luck. As for us, not only do we own one, but so does everyone in our extended family!
