I purchased this Zune Home A/V Pack from Amazon on 11/6/07 at about the same time I purchased my Pink 30GB Zune (also from Amazon). My brother, who also has a Zune, couldn't get over the great deal I got on it (it retails for around $[...])!
So far, the main things I use are the docking station and charger. I'm looking forward to trying the cables with my stereo system. (I must warn you that it usually takes me several months to start using a new product!) I'm not a huge "music" person and don't do much with my stereo, but my brother uses his setup all the time. He loves it, too!
I've seen two types of docking stations and the one that comes with this pack is classy! I like the clear covers that come with the USB cable, too. They cover each end when it is not in use.

I just purchased this gen 1 av pack from shop cell. It arrived promptly and in good condition. It is a must have accessory for my gen 1 zune 30. I don't use the video output, but it is pretty neat. This product really feels like it has a nice build quality and "heft" to it. The base stays put on the table with your cables even when you put the zune in and out. The remote is really nice. The buttons function just like on the zune. Very good deal combined with my $99 gen 1 zune and cheap old computer speakers. Awesome internet connected stereo system for less than $150 total! I think you are getting a really good deal for this package because it has been discontinued because the base does not fit right with gen 2 zunes. But if you like to get great deals it sounds like you can take off the top casing and fit gen 2 zunes, no problem.Customer Review: I held off at first--man should I have bought this earlier!

At first I thought I didn't need it--that I could just plug the zune into my speaker system with $3 cords and that I didn't need the wall plug, etc. Boy was I wrong!
I finally decided I at least needed the wall plug so it could charge in the bedroom. I then used the dock in the bedroom too. WoW! Having the remote makes it so much easier to control from my bed! Not only that, but there's a magnet in the remote so I can attach the remote to my lamp!
The dock also looks a lot nicer with my bedroom speakers, and it's easier to find than just the cord when it falls under the table.
So it all is an item of conviencence, but with as much as we use our zune, it was worth it to us. I definately suggest it to anyone!

I bought this product for my 2nd gen 80GB zune. As others have written, it definitely is snug when in the dock. That said, it certainly still fits even without taking the cover off of the dock (which, should you still want to, is EXTREMELY easy). And personally, I don't see why one would be bothered by it being firmly in place...
For the ~$20 I spent for it, it is definitely worth the money and I'm VERY glad I didn't shell out the extra money for the newer home av pack. For me, the fact that I can now control my zune with the remote and that I can leave it charging in the dock continually makes this a must have.

Bought this a few days ago & received it today. Hooked it up to my home stereo and as soon as I played the first song, I was blown away - sounded like it was coming straight from a CD ! Can control volume by either the Zune remote or on the stereo receiver. All functions of the Zune itself can be accessed via the remote (as far as I have seen). Was eyeing this since I bought my Zune several months ago, and am very happy with it's performance as well as the price I found here ....
If you want to listen to your zune on your home stereo, get this !! MUCH better than just connecting it via basic audio cable ....
