I bought my Zune to play in car, and I bought extra accessories (car charger, auxillary cable, headphones, Zune-to-PC cable) so that I could charge the Zune with the car. Thus I needed something to carry my extra equipment for the Zune. I found that this product could hold all of the accessories with room to spare. The hard shell case protect the unit when it might fall into the floorboard or just from everyday wear and tear. This bag has an elestic strap to secure the unit inside the the case, which prevents the unit from falling out when the case is not zipped. The interior divider prevents the accessories and the Zune apart prevent the screen of the unit from becoming scratched or damaged.
I would highly recommend this for people who take their Zune on travel (airplane, road trip, or daily commute), where they need all of the accessories with them. This case would be too large for jogging or other activity, and would not work well if you had to carry it around with you. But for any other applications, where you need all of the extra goodies with the Zune and your not trying to carry this case and other stuff (purse, shopping bags), it works very well.

This gear bag is very convenient to carry around all the accessories that accompany the Zune MP3 player. The space for the player itself is a little big for a Zune without a protective case, but even then, there is an elastic strap to hold it in place. I purchased a leather case for my Zune, and it will still fit in the space but it requires just a little force.
One downfall of this gear bag is its size. It is pretty big for someone who just wants to carry around their Zune, earphones, and maybe a charger and cord. However, if you have more accessories, this can be a good thing. I have the AV/Stereo adapter for my Zune and it fits nicely in the gear bag with the rest of my stuff.
The last thing I would mention is the divided section on the side opposite where your Zune goes. There is a small part of its space that is divided off. This is not really bothersome except I cannot figure out what the space is for. I think the manufacturer just thought the whole side should not be one big area and so they split it up. Nothing really fits perfectly in the space, but it can separate, say, a charger and a small speaker, or a stereo adapter.

It's nice to know that whenever you need any of your Zune accessories, they're exactly where they belong,...in your Zune Gear Bag. Instead of digging through your desk drawers or under your car's seats, it's all in one place.
Although it seems to have been made for the 30gb Zune, my 80gb Zune in it's Zune Leather Case fits snugly in the cut out. Here's an inventory of what I regularly keep in my Zune Gear Bag: 80gb Zune in it's Zune Leather Case, Zune Sync Cable, Zune Premium Earbuds, DLO USB PowerBug Wall Charger, DLO USB Auto Charger. I've also been known to put my car keys and wallet in there as well. So as you can see, literally everything in it's place.
Some may say it's bulky, but it is a "gear bag". We musicians know what that means; whatever you need, whenever you need it (and some stuff extras just in case).
All in all I'm very happy with it and recommend it too every Zune owner. If you're like me, you do a lot of shopping around before you commit. I get total usage out of my Zune Gear Bag (and then some). I know you will too...

When I purchased this Zune Gear Bag, my intent was to have something that was very sturdy, would hold really a minimum of accessories, but would have the size to carry more things in the future. My son's heading off to college and my suspicious mind wanted something he could stash his 120HD in and hopefully not just leave the player laying out in the open.
Whomever it was that said this is almost like a dopp kit, I agree. The outer dimensions are pretty big and the mesh pockets make stowing extras easy. So far, we have only what came with the Zune that's intended to land in the bag, but soon we'll be adding JBuds J2 Premium Hi-FI Noise Isolating Earbuds (Onyx Black) and probably additional cables. From what I can see, they'll fit comfortably.
I wouldn't say it's a drawback for me, but someone with a lot of accessories wouldn't enjoy this bag and neither would someone who had plans to carry an MP3 player around all day with it.

I got this bag and since I usually pocket my 120GB Gears of War Special Edition Zune while listening to audiobooks on flights and other monotonous activities like mowing the lawn or doing the dishes, I keep it well protected in a clear hard plastic case with a screen protector.
It fits perfectly in the case with this cover and since I don't have the need to wear my Zune like a fashion accessory, it never leaves it's plastic case. Btw, if you want a Zune for running, get the smaller version. It's solid state memory with no hard drive or moving parts to be damaged by inertial stresses. Then you won't be griping about some of the other reviews on this item about the case not being made specifically for them...
I use the extra storage for a solar USB battery backup, the MyVu video glasses and the supporting cables. I'm pretty much self contained and the case protects it all quite well.
Don't listening to the silly people who got a case NOT designed to accommodate another case... Great product.
