Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Zune Car Pack

Customer Review: Worth the money
Summary: 5 Stars

Well i have had other FM transmitters and they were no where near as clear as the Zune brand. I drive a 2008 Nissan Frontier and have always wanted to listen to my Zune while i drive, but without buying a new stereo unit. This product does just that, it comes out very clear over 90% of the time, as long as you have preset stations for when you driving through a new location. I live outside the city of Los Angeles, in the San Fernando valley, and i get good reception with same radio station, throughout the valley. I have been told it sounds as if the music was being played with a CD. I have driven through LA with it, and since its a very dense area, it was hard to find a channel; i am not sure how well it work in a crowded city. I think it would do fine in a crowded city, but it would take some trial and error with finding the right station. Overall i love this product and it is a must have for someone with a car and a Zune.

Customer Review: good item, works great
Summary: 5 Stars

item works great although i had to actually drive around before i could find a station that worked. when i first received it i just attempted to find one where the car was parked and it was all static on every station. after driving around i found one that works and have used the same station ever since with no problems. occasional static going under overpasses and in certain dead spots but overall static is low. i live in an urban area though. i read a review that finding the station first prior to turning on the zune worked best for them, and that helped initially when i didn't have a good station, but now that i have a good station it is not necessary. i do have to place the tuner up on the dash though.

i would recommend this to anyone who wants a cost efficient way to use the zune in the car.

Customer Review: Loving it so far

I got this FM transmitter to replace my older Belkin transmitter. I usually leave my Zune in the car and the battery would die, making me listen to the junk on the radio. But now I don't have to worry about that any longer and it comes in crystal clear... much better than my Belkin. I also like how I don't have to fiddle with the Zune's volume control, which is also something I always had to do with the Belkin - the transmitter gives it a set volume and you can easily control it with the car's volume. Another great aspect is how I can magnetically place the transmitter onto the power outlet so it isn't flopping around the car. And on top of all of that, it comes with a handy dashboard mat which you can set your Zune and cellphone on without it sliding across the dashboard. Great Product... highly recommended!

Customer Review: It does not take a rocket scientist to make this work
Summary: 5 Stars

It works. As mentioned in other reviews you must let the controller find a station with the radio off. I found that presetting the best one, one at a time worked very well. Let it select a station. Turn on the radio, tune it to that station and try it. If good use it as a preset. Turn off the radio and seek another. Repeat until you have the best stations. It just takes a little patience and going through the right steps.

If you have a local ham operator in your neighborhood or live very close to an FM station, it may take more time or try setting it up a further away from those sources because they may overpower/jam/confuse the unit due to the strength of the broadcasted signals.

From an old vacuum tube radio collector and restorer.

Customer Review: Portable Zune
Summary: 5 Stars

This item is amazing, as well as the sound quality. I had a few cracks and noise, but that is to be expected for a transmitter. I opened it right up and was able to set up the transmitter instantly. It took about 5 min for the whole process and it worked fine. I was concerned because some people said that it would change on them during travel, because of the many different stations around them, and I had no such problem. I live in a city with a lot of radio stations and it stayed on the one that I put into it. Also, the charger on this is very good. It took about 10 min for the Zune to get about halfway charged (from an almost dead battery). I would also like to point out that this works with a Zune HD 32GB.
