Customer Review: No problems thus far...
Summary: 5 Stars

I've had this product for a few months now, and have not had any problems with it. Several other reviewers have mentioned having problems with the transmitter range on this, but it seems to me that it only has to make it to the antennae on your car and no farther. I have a 2004 Chevy Blazer that I mainly use this in, and unless you pass by another car transmitting on the same frequency on the freeway, you will not have any problems selecting a transmission frequency or listening to it.

The product also features "presets" to save the frequencies that work well for you on the road. The display portion has a magnet in the back of it that allows it to be attached to the power plug in your 12v outlet. It also comes with a small silicone-like platform that is designed to hold your Zune in place on the dashboard or the passenger seat.

Overall, I am satisfied with this purchase, though I have to admit that I only spent the extra money for a "Genuine" Zune accessory because I liked the way that it matches the style of the Zune products. I would recommend this to others.

Customer Review: One of the best in its class
Summary: 5 Stars

If you are going to enjoy ANY fm-transmitter, it is important NOT to expect CD quality. In other words, you are guaranteed to get some static, and you are highly likely to get occasional signal interference - even on the best frequency and device.

I am also guessing some cities / locations are better than others in terms of open frequencies - so fm-transmitters of any sort may be unusable in some locations.

If you are having trouble with yours though, try the following steps (which worked wonders for me):
1. FIRST use the auto-tune
2. THEN tune the radio to that frequency (99.5 for Seattle Eastside)
3. I kept trying until I found the best 2 signals for my area
4. Using the sticky-grip-pad, I placed the Zune as far from the tuner as possible - so the cord (which acts as an antenna) is almost straight. And I get GREAT sound!

If there was a complaint, I would love to have 4 pre-sets vs. 2, but at $60 with the autoseek, self-charging capability, 2 pre-sets, grip-pad - better value than any other similar device on the market.

Customer Review: Good, solid product
Summary: 5 Stars

This Zune addition to the car has been really great for long car drives. It does exactly what it says it does. The quality of the sound is NOT perfect, but you should not be expecting it to be. There will be static on occasion, just as you would get using the regular radio.

Keep in mind, if you live in a big city, it may take some time to find that perfect channel to broadcast on. Just read the directions, and this thing will work! One tip I have: Keep the cord between the transmitter and your Zune as straight as possible, and the reception will be much better. Again, those of you complaining about the quality of the music... deal with it, you'll get the same occasional problems with ANY FM transmitter. If you can't stand it, then upgrade your sound system so you can just plug it in. Don't review this product negatively because you fail to read the instructions or are expecting it to be the best sound ever.

I like my Zune Car Pack a lot! Works especially well on the long open road!

Customer Review: Works in Chicago
Summary: 5 Stars

After being a bit hesitant to pick this up considering the density of the city where I live, I'm really pleased with the quality of the build and the sound of the v2 Zune Car Pack.

It was a bit finicky in bad weather, but the sound quality overall is comparable to any strong radio station broadcast. I also like the that this car pack seems to be made of durable, attractive materials. There's attractive backlighting on both the plug (to indicate power), and the small tuner that indicates the station, and the tuner is very visible for night driving should you need to read the station.

The rubber pad to prevent your Zune from sliding around works terrifically. Despite speed bumps and sharp turns, the Zune stays on the rubber pad.

Again, I'm very pleased with the Car Pack - especially considering the price has dropped now to about $55 dollars. Well worth it, in my opinion, even in a city as large as Chicago.

Customer Review: Does what it is supposed to do
Summary: 5 Stars

Before I bought the Zune carpack, I read many reviews and one thing stuck in my mind. Someone said that you should allow the transmitter to locate an available frequency before turning on the radio. So when I ordered mine, that is what I did, and this device has worked perfectly for me. There are times when I have to seek out a different frequency because of static or overplay, but that is not the fault of the device, that is just the nature of radio as you are driving around. And this tends to happen mainly when I am in the heart of Santa Fe but works great when I'm on the highway and in other areas.

If you keep an eye out, you can get a good price from some vendors, but whatever price you pay, this device opens up a whole new world of listening in your vehicle because you have access to thousands of songs on your Zune when the radio gets redundant. The carpack and the ac adapter are both great investments - I love my Zune!
