well... i got my zune in august and i freaked out, wasnt able to work around it or anything but after some time i got it and started loving my zune... loved the big and beautiful screen and the space and the interface.... much more than the ipods i had owned or the zen creative mp3 player... afterwards i had to update the software and wasn't able to do it either, freaked out also and was very mad.... but then again i was able to work around it with several tricks... now....... my zune collapsed, i reset it, eliminated everything and all and now i cannot put it back in, a bunch of people have the same problem around the internet and good news for us, the ones that live outside the us or canada, no support for us so now... i'm stuck with a zune that doesnt work that if i want to fix i have to send to the us to fix... i'm considering something new... but i loved my zune, i don't want to go back to ipod.... but i don't want to lose $250 for a zune that's going to last 8 months.........Customer Review: Good, but could be better

I've had my 80gb zune for a few months now. It is a very good mp3 player/ media device. There are a lot of great features on the zune like fm radio, wireless syncing, and a really good looking screen. Sound quality on zune is great, battery life is decent (when wifi turned off). My chief complaints about the zune would have to be the zune software and zune firmware. The zune software is horrible, doesn't hold a candle to iTunes. The zune firmware isn't really that user friendly (for lack of a better word), I still can't figure out how to play only one song on repeat (if there is even that function) other then creating a playlist with one song. There are lot of things the zune could improve on, like little options/fuctions on the ipod we take forgranted. I had a 30G Creative Zen and loved it! But I ran out of memory and decided to find a reasonably price replacement. I searched and finally found the 80G Zune. I love the screen and how lightweight the Zune is. However, there are some flaws. First the sound quality is ok but jnothing compared to my creative zen. Also it was a little tricky to set up and the battery life is short lived. Since the price I purchased it for was reasonable, I don't mind the trade-off for the memory, but if I had to pay full price, I may have been upset.Customer Review: Disappointed by Microsoft Strictness

Tried to install. Doesn't work on a Mac OSX. At all.
Then tried on an old Windows XP, but the software wanted a lot of updates, which some did not take well. Software still wouldn't install.
Without Microsoft's specific software, no music could be listened to.
Overall, this is rather restrictive. Seems the Zune is just an accessory to your Windows Vista.

Ive had mine for a month, it was grreat at first, now it deleted all of my 3000 songs i had on it, it will only add 400 back and it says error every time i try to sync it. ive had a 8gb before and the play and back button would freeze all the time. it may be my luck, or maybe zunes just suck. i never had this many problems with my ipod although i had some on occation, non to this extent
