Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Zune 80 GB Digital Media Player (Red)Customer Review: Far Better Than I Had Imagined! Summary: 5 Stars
I have had an iPod ever since they came onto the scene. But I only had the 30GB and I needed more space for my music collection and I did not want to go out and buy the 160GB iPod Classic and the iPod Touch 32GB is just to expensive for my tastes and does not offer any more storage. So I was set on getting the iPod 80GB but I had heard about the Zune 80GB by Microsoft so I thought I owed it to myself to check it out.
Both were evenly matched in terms of price, although if I had wanted to get a refurbished iPod 80GB I could have for $200 on the Apple website, that is a whole $40 cheaper than what Amazon is charging for the Zune. But alas I am writing a review for the Zune since I did end up choosing it. If one is in a similar situation. I would just say this. If you are someone who is buying an iPod just to be trendy, do not buy anything at all until you can think for yourself. But if you are looking for tons of addons maybe you should by the iPod. But the Zune is slowly creeping new addons all the time. Plus all the features the Zune 80 has compared to the iPod 80 is just a win hands down. I enjoy Microsoft being the underdogs, they give you a superior product.
Customer Review: Terrific so far... Summary: 5 Stars
I just received my red Zune 80gb mp3 player, and I must say I'm pleasantly surprised. It has a great 3.5 inch screen and is aesthetically pleasing to the eyes as well. In a matter of less than an hour, I had downloaded the software from the Zune site, and had synced almost 1400 songs! I also bought the Zune dock to go along with it. It not only charges in the dock, there are plugs to hook it up to your stereo system or TV. The player stands straight up in the dock so you can see the album art and song info on that huge screen. Very nice indeed. The software is great and easy to use. The Zune software player is very cool. The "skin" of the player is completely made up of all of your album art. You can download pictures and use any one of them as a background if you choose. I can't comment on the video feature, because I'm not interested in using that option. I mainly use mine for music. Battery life is something I haven't had a chance to explore either, seeing as I've only had the player for a few hours. Definitely a 5 star "first impression" review. I'll update if things go awry after some time goes by.
Customer Review: How can you not give the Zune 5 Stars?!?!?! Summary: 5 Stars
I swear, how can people this 3 stars or below it completely kills and blows ipod's out of the freakin' water and I have already had this for like 7 months, and nothing so far has happened to it. Though there was this point when I had it, when I updated it with Zune 3.0 and every time the battery was like half-way the Zune would freeze, then I started to question whether it was the Zune. Turns out it was the update that was messing with my Zune because i updated it with Zune 3.1 and it stopped doing that. The whole point is that this thing is better than an 80 GB ipod because my cousin got his like 2 months before me and his messed up like 2 months ago (you do the math) so, basically if you ask me this is a much better buy then that peice o' poop.
Customer Review: Zune Rocks!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I just buy this mp3 player as a replacement for my Toshiba mp3 player. I love it, I think my favorite feature on this little bad boy is the wireless sync, I mean is amazing that I don't need to have the Zune plug in to my computer to sync my music library. The big display is a plus, I can watch my videos perfectly fine. I also bought the AV pack from amazon, so I can connect my Zune to the tv, the quality is not bad at all, I got some movies on it and it looks great and sounds great. I will recommend this mp3 player to all of us that don't want to get into the world of iPod, this product works the same or even better than the iPod, software is easy to use, I don't know what else can be said, I guess just buy it, you'll love it
Customer Review: Great so far Summary: 5 Stars
I'm new at using an MP3 player, but getting it set up and going was easy. The sound is good, and learning all the uses seems intuitive. I liked the size and capacity for the price compared to an iPod. With 80 gigabytes of space, I probably will never fill it up, but I won't feel limited or have to make choices of what not to put in it. There are no technical problems; however, it's not a 24/7 or even a 12/7 or 4/5 gadget. Even us old grandpa types can navigate stuff 12 to 25-year olds can--old dogs, new tricks aren't that much of a problem. I may not know how to program a TIVO (don't have one), or figure out all the glitches in my laptop, but the ZUNE only has 3 buttons, so how much does one have to know to enjoy it?
