Customer Review: Canon SX30is 58mm Filter Adapter Ring

I am using this adapter ring on my SX30is, due to the smaller diameter and profile of the ring and 58mm filters on the camera's lens barrel. True, one would expect a little vigeneting when the lens is at 24mm, but using the Canon suggested 67mm adapter and filters makes the whole set up very unsightly, as bulky. True with the 67mm setup, there is no vignetting at 24mm lens setting, but I decided I didn't want all of that bulk stuff on the front of the lens. If it is that critical that you have to shoot at 24mm, take the filter off and or hood, leave just the 58mm adapter ring, there is no vignetting at 24mm. Anything beyond 40-50 mm lens zoom, you can even have a hood on the 58mm set up.
I'm happy that I chose this way, than going with the Canon recommended 67mm ring, filter and hood method.
