Customer Review: Perfect For Apple TV's and Sony Bravia's

I'm not what I call "tech-savvy". I purchased this item specifically for switching back and forth between 3 items I use regularly. They are my Apple TV, my Sony Bravia HD TV and my Sony HD DVD player. Worked perfect out of the box the first time and is the perfect "stackable" companion to my Apple TV. Minimal space requirements makes it great for the minimalist/no clutter types like myself. I must add to that I am very skeptic with regards to shopping and customer service as it is today. However, as a veteran and "seasoned" retail manager for 20 years I can honestly tell you that all went perfect with this item. There are 4 HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface)inputs for 4 of your favorite HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface)components. One HDMI(High Definition Multimedia Interface)output that goes to your TV monitor and of course the AC electrical cord that powers it. Please know that you MUST purchase all HDMI(High Definition Multimedia Interface)cables yourself separately. ( I do not recommend any certain brand. So do not spend lots on these. There is no need to. Just make sure they are HDMI to HDMI cables. This just means that both ends of your cables have identical ends to them.) This item only comes with the electrical cord and a small remote. The remote simply allows you to switch between whatever you are wanting to use. It's only 5 buttons. Very easy to master. If you hate having another remote to add to your existing pile, you can simply get up and manually change the switcher by pushing the button on the unit itself. A word of caution, an individual investigation by you, the consumer, may be a good idea to make sure that this brand of switcher is compatible with your current television set. I already knew that it would work with my Sony stuff. However, I have read other reviews that stated it may not work on certain brands. I would contact various electronic stores and even Apple to find out where you can obtain a list of compatible devices. Hope all this helps.
