Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of X-Rite i1Display 2 Color Calibrator for LCD, CRT, and Laptop DisplaysCustomer Review: Easy to Use Summary: 5 Stars
After reading many reviews I decided on the One Eye. The software is easy to use and the results are very good. I have both a La Cie Electron IV CRT and Dell LCD 2007FP (ISP Panel based on serial number). Both screens calibrated very well. I was surprised that the $350 Dell LCD calibration matched my printing output almost perfectly without having to buy a $1500 Eizo or La Cie LCD.
The reason I bought the One Eye was for photo editing. Now my screen closely matches the putput.
Customer Review: Excellent Summary: 5 Stars
I had an old Spyder and then later got a new, wide gamut monitor. Couldn't profile my monitor worth a darn. The X-Rite did it the first time, spot on. Software was easy to install. Both easy and advanced modes worked fine, though I've found the 'easy' to work just as well.
Only negative is that once you get past the 4 weeks, every time you boot up it asks if you want to re-profile. Wish you could hit 'snooze' for a week or more as that gets a bit annoying.
Customer Review: Great monitor calibrator. Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great product if you need to calibrat your monitors.(LCD, CRT or laptop) The software is simple to use and has a basic and expert mode (depending on how accurate you need the colors to be. You dont even have to place the calibrator in a certin spot on the monitor like or cheackers, the software will find the location you placed it. Highly recomended for digital photographers or anyone how sends photo quality thing out to be printed.
Customer Review: Plasma TV calibration Summary: 5 Stars
I bought i1D2 to calibrate my Laptop. So it took me a several minutes to calibrate my Gateway laptop. Then I decided to try to calibrate my PC (Vista 64 bit) that is connected to the 50" Panasonic plasma TV. Even that x-rite doesn't tell that they support plasma for this product I've got a very good result. Maybe it will not good colors for professional, I don't see problems, but I got good prints.
Customer Review: Nicer Colors Summary: 5 Stars
I have only used this item on a new Samsung monitor, but there was a slight color adjustment it made that sharpened the colors a bit. I am just learning about color management and this was a good start.
The loading of the software programs are not intuitive and it took me a few minutes to figure out how to load them. I have seen other posts about this problem and now understand them.
