I have always been one to put things on my walls and then regretted it because when I took them down, it was necessary to "fix" where the item had been. With 3M's wallsave removable mounting tape, this doesn't happen.
It holds most items I want on my walls - reminders, the list of when the new movies are coming out and other various items that I need when I am at my desk. It sticks to the item you are hanging so be sure you don't care about removing the tape from it when you take it down as it doesn't come off the paper, etc. What it does do is come off the wall without leaving residue or taking the paint with it. I wouldn't try it on wallpapered walls but anything else is great.
Now I don't have to buy cork board to install on my wall first; I can just hang my notes/reminders and I'm good to go.

I tried it out by using a one-inch piece to "hang up" a medium-sized calendar on a paneled wall. It holds it up, and I was able to take it off and move it to another location without any marks on the wall.
One bit of advice: I'm over sixty and my fingers don't have the manual dexterity I did when I was younger. Thus, at first I had a little trouble getting the tape off its paper backing, after I'd torn off a piece of the proper length. Here's the hint: I found that if you start removing the tape from its paper backing, BEFORE you tear it all the way off from the roll, that will help get the tape off its backing and ready for action. It kinda gives you an extra hand for holding the tape while pulling off the paper backing.

Leave it to the makers of the Post-itŪ Note to create a tape just sticky enough to hold the poster on the wall, but not so sticky that it pulls the paint off when you take the poster down. While it might be tricky to get the tape off the poster, you could leave it on and probably re-use it or stick a new piece in the same spot. This is very handy to have around, and comes in a standard tape dispenser. It's very easy to peel off the paper that protects the top side. Well designed and probably the best solution for apartment dwellers and others who want to hand a poster or other piece of paper without worrying about ruining the walls.Customer Review: Great product!

Wish this had been in existence when I was in college! The backing peels off quickly and easily, it sticks well to everything I've put it on, and it allows you to move the item you've posted with no problem! I haven't tried anything heavy, but it works perfectly for the items I want to put on the wall. I had no trouble with the serrated edge cutting the tape; my only issue was that if I wasn't careful, I would pull out more than I needed.
For those concerned with the poster tape damaging the item you've hung if you want to no longer hang it that way, the simple solution is to not try to remove the poster tape from the item, but to simply cover the tape with regular tape. You'll never know either item was there.

Where I work we are not allowed to tape anything to the walls, because of potential damage to the paint. But we like to occasionally hang a sign or decorations for holidays. I got this tape thinking it would be perfect for this use since it is called "Removable". Well, it works!! We hung a bunch of decor all over the office, and afteward simply peeled off the tape/decorations, no problem at all. The way it works, it has adhesive on both sides, so you peel off the backing on one side and stick it on to the paper or what ever you want to hang, then press on to the wall. it holds beautifully, and then easily comes right off. Get this tape! It comes in very handy when you can't use regular tape.
