I purchased this portable HDTV for my husband's 75th birthday and was I ever surprised after reading some of the negative comments regarding both the sound and the picture! He too was just thrilled and we had it connected by our cable provider to enable us to utilize the cable networks outside on our two patios.
The color, size and sound are perfect for watching any and all programs and we are looking forward to viewing our favorite sports shows while also enjoying the Florida sunshine and not having to stay inside. I might add that it is very difficult to buy something for a guy that he might really like and this purchase made a big hit with my hubby!

bought this unit for 99 bucks refurbished and for that price this is a homerun. For people looking for a monitor to take their ps3 or xbox 360 along the ride , just plug it into the hdmi and you get clear 1080i quality. Yes , the sound isnt great, but good enought , you can always add aditional speakers like the portable altec lansing 600 unit for example. like the USB input too!Customer Review: nice little second TV

Angle of view is not great but OK for a TV of this type.
Lacks RCA connectors for audio and so requires an adapter for connecting to alternate speakers such as BOSE radio. Sound quality with built-in speakers is tinny.
I like the looks and flexability of the built-in under cabinet mount or counter operation.

I bought this TV for $135 (New) from seller KDF. Why anyone would pay up to $274 for the same TV is beyond me. I wanted to mount it under a cabinet in the kitchen. The fact that there was no template, or instructions for doing so, made it somewhat difficult. Once I did get it mounted under the cabinet, however it was not possible to view the picture satisfactorily from both near and far, and/or while either standing or sitting. So, I took it down and placed it on the counter. This provided for acceptable viewing from all parts of the room. The sound quality is less than desirable, but I found that lowering the Treble to the Minimum, and raising the Bass to the Maximum provides an acceptable sound quality. All in all, it's about what you can expect for the price paid.
