I added this SATA disk drive to new desktop PC. This system is using Windows Vista. Although I have only had this drive for a few weeks, it seems to be working well. I have used the drive for video capture and editing. My only surprise was that I needed to purchase a $5.34 cable to convert normal 4-wire power to SATA power. If I needed another hard drive I would purchase this same drive again.Customer Review: good stuff could have been faster

All I have to say is I order 3 hard drives and 2 from newegg and 1 from amazon and dang, I got my newegg parts for 25% cheaper and 2 days earlier then amazon and I order on the same day! Amazon is a great site with a lot to offer but I just have to let you all know who's reading reviews for this product.... it is cheaper elsewhereCustomer Review: Fair price - works as advertised - received it very fast

Got this very fast
These caviar hard drives seem to be reliable. I have a 350 and two 250mb that are almost 2 years old and two 250mb that are almost a year old and two 500mb that are over a month old. So far so good

Drive arrived in just 4 days from Amazon. Was pleased it was the retail boxed edition with cables and jumper and screws. Installed easily. Restored my MS Windows XP and Ubuntu 9.04 OS very easily. Drive is fast and quiet.Customer Review: SATA 500 GB HD

It was easy install, but NOT plug and play and instructions are a little lacking. You must have blue(sata) power cable and TURN on the port you plug it into then the drive must be "intialized". Then your good to go.
