These are a great deal, I bought two about a month ago and both have been running great ever since. Highly recommend these drives, they are one of the best deals on hard drives right now. (8/22/07) As times change and they drop in price they will probably still be just as good as deal. SATA speed is exceptionally well and I don't know why I didn't go with it in the first place. Western Digital (WD) has been serving me for a few years now (I have a WD external hard drive which rules).
WD is the way to go if you want a reliable hard drive to last you and their warranty services are great as well!

This hard drive is awesome! I fought with my 300GB hard drive for almost 2 years and ended up having to reformat several times. I did research and decided on the WD Caviar. I replaced my old drive with this and it is sooo much quieter. It is just the drive so you'll need the SATA cable. It runs very well so far. As far as temperature, it runs around 39 C which is several degrees cooler than my old one in the same spot in the case. Its quite a value for that price.
