Customer Review: My backup - works well

As a competent user (rather than sysadmin, technician, or computer engineer), the Western Digital 'My Passport' 1/4 TB hard drive works well as a back-up or data transfer drive. Functionally, it's a basic USB hard drive, no noisier than others, and so far has been solid and reliable. Aesthetically, it is inconspicuous, which is what I look for in tools that get parked on my desk.
As mentioned, the primary use has been as a backup location for my files. Occasionally, I'll use it to move large blocks of data. In both cases, it has performed well.
A solid peripheral for a Windows OS computer.
