As the title says..Great buy. First thing I did was format the entire disk. Thus I am not using the installed software, so have no comment on those. While it took a long time to format, which was expectd, it has worked with all my systems from a 8 year old Dell to a year old home built PC.
I am looking at getting a second one for my home security system, just to have more video space.
