Great Product if you don't want to worry about actually scheduling and going through the motions of backing up your data. Automatically backs up when you save your info to your computer! Setup was very easy as well-just plug in the USB and configure your settings of what you want it to Auto-Back Up. I downloaded pictures to Picasso and all but one disappeared. I thought that these many, many pictures were gone forever. By trying to figure how to check the backup Western Digital Book, all of the pictures reappeared in Picasso. So my purchase of the WD Book paid off the very first time I lost something.I could have used this Book several hundred pictures ago!Customer Review: More rugged than I'd expect!

I've had this drive since December 2007. I've never had a single problem with it. In fact, in the spring of 2008 I stupidly dropped it onto a concrete floor. It fell about 4 feet--part of the plastic housing got messed up, but the insides were fine, and over a year later, the thing still runs as though nothing ever happened.Customer Review: Great device, works as advertised

This is the second 500 GB Book I got. I use one to store all my family videos and photos with a windows machine, and the second to backup multiple MacBooks in the house. So far it has worked out perfect, the drive turns off automatically with the computer, and seems to be as fast as my internal drives.Customer Review: Love it!!!!

I love our external hard drive. I was always so worried about my computer crashing & losing my personal information & pictures. It is so easy to use & you feel so much better knowing that everything that is so important to you is safe. It is something I think everyone that owns a computer should have.
