Western Digital My Passport Essential 320 GB USB 2.0 Portable Hard Drive WDME3200TN (Midnight Black)
This is a great compact form drive! It has plenty of storage space, but I could easily pick it up and put it in my coat pocket or my purse. I am using it for my most critical backups. At roughly $0.25 per GB it is an incredible value. Western Digital has been at this a long time, and this new line of external drives just shows their strengths.

I bought the 320GB black perhaps 2-3 weeks ago. Works great and I love specially the fact that it gets power from the USB connection to the PC (no need or yet another power adapter. the only downside to it is that is there is not enough power on the USB hub it can't work so I have to connect it directly to the PC.
Don't care much for the SW included on the drive. Tried to install it in my XP SP2 and would not install correctly. Gave up.
Overall it is very polished, portable, and convenient. High ratings for this one.

Flawless, quick transition. MyPassport is also cool because it comes with the required USB cable--which powers the unit from your computer. No electrical cord necessary. 3-year warranty is generous. Very sweet. Buy this and you can forget about obsoleting your otherwise functional PC or Mac.

This is by far the best external hard disk I have ever purchased. The great advantage of it is no need of external power supply. This was given a gift to someone and the recipient was quite happy with item, considering, it was plug and play and in their palm, they can get more than 300G worth of data. I would have gone for 500G, but when I bought this 500G was quite expensive, but it seems the price for 500G has come down a lot, lately. I would recommend this product to anyone..
