I wound up buying a couple of these because they were inexpensive and I figured I could always use extra camcorder batteries. The only problem with this is that these kinds of batteries don't hold a charge for a long period of time UNLESS you put them in the freezer after charging.
Actually, from what I know, you can reduce the charge to about 40% of maximum and it'll hold that for a decent amount of time, but I always put the batteries in the freezer so I knew I'd have a good fresh battery when I needed it.
I had no problems with this battery EXCEPT for the plastic right next to the battery terminals fell off. A little glue or tape would hold it so it's nothing major, but due to the length of this battery and the way it connects to the camcorder, it puts a little stress on that one thin plastic piece covering the terminal end of the battery. You may wish to reinforce it with some tape just to be sure it won't break off while you're using it.
Worth the money, but only if you're going to do some serious 4+ hour shoots with the camera...

I have bought a pack of 2 batteries. 6 months later, 1 stopped working. Which I didn't really mind because I had the other one. But the second one gradually deteriorated from the 6-7hrs of battery life to a mere 2-3 hrs to finally stop working yesterday! About 1.5 years after I bought it. This is simply terrible and will never buy from this seller. Beware!Customer Review: Initial battery delivered did not work properly; still waiting for a replacement.

Battery will charge, work initially but after removing the battery from the camera and then placing it back on, the camera will not power up. The Factory JVC battery does not behave in this manner so its not the camera.
I received a confirmation email from the company that they received my bad battery but I have yet to receive a replacement.

This battery arrived with about a 2/3rds charge and operated the camera fine. I charged it through the camera to a full charge and removed it for storage. 2 weeks later, the battery was fully discharged, and would not accept a charge.
Spend the extra money and get the JVC battery.

The battery Lasted only 2 months. Worked great while it lasted. The merchant I purchased it through had a 30 day return policy and would not help me in anyway with a replacement or reimbursement.
