I started with a 6x8 tablet and it worked great for the 2 years that I had it. But after up-sizing my monitor to an Apple Cinema 23" HD Flat-Panel Display, I noticed a difference in precision. The Wacom Tablet is one of the best products I have ever spend so much money on but it is definitely worth it. Anybody can use this product even if it's just to start off without any practice. I am not excellent drawing but im good and the tablet let's you not only get practice but the freedom of being able to use any program and erase, add colors, effects etc. Definitely a worth buying!!Customer Review: Saving My Hand

This is my first tablet and after reading a lot online about what to get, I chose this 9x12 because of it's good size and affordability. I'm a designer who works about 60-70 hours a week and starting having numbness in my hand from all the mousing. After a couple of weeks of getting used to the tablet, the numbness is gone and I feel like I'm working much faster now. The tablet has been very helpful in my digital drawing classes and in my interior design business for quick sketching. It is user friendly, sturdily constructed and electronically dependable. I prefer the large screen format and this size is very adequate. If it should ever have to be replaced, I would purchase the same model. This is probably the sweetest thing I'v ever had. Makes drawing on the computer the most fun thing to do these days and is incredibly easy to setup and use. I'd advise anybody who gets one this big or bigger to go ahead and by the carrying case along with the tablet itself because its near impossible to find any backpack that fits it, not to mention my 17' Macbook Pro
