Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Wacom Intuos3 9 x 12-Inch USB Tablet--Metallic GrayCustomer Review: Can't Miss With This Summary: 5 Stars
I have been in the computer industry for well over 20 years and I have used just about every graphics tablet there is over that period. I recently had a need to get a new one for my own personal use and I got this Intuos3 9x12 and it is one nice piece of equipment.
No Batteries, no power cords just a short USB cable to the computer. And it truly is an aesthetically beautiful piece of work.
I have no complaints what so ever; My Mouse works perfectly I am even using it to play Links2003 (Golf). Don't expect to drop strokes right off the bat, it will take a round or two to get used to the "swing" just like any new "Club" would. However I would not consider using it for any fast action games; only smooth steady strokes, billiards, golf, etc
In short, everything I expected and more. I love this Tablet
Customer Review: Amazing Tablet! Summary: 5 Stars
This is a wonderful tablet. I got it nearly three years ago as a birthday present, and it's still in awesome condition. I have upgraded operating systems since then, and it was a smooth transition.
The 9 x 12 tablet is a great size; it's close to the same size as a standard sheet of paper, and this made the transition from drawing on paper to drawing on the tablet, easy.
It came with extra pen nibs, and the pen does not use batteries, unlike many other tablets. No charging is necessary, which is an added bonus in my opinion. It also came with a mouse to be used on the tablet, and the programs Photoshop Elements 4 and 5, and Painter Essentials 2 and 3.
Overall, it's an awesome tablet that is very sensitive to pen pressure. Five stars.
Customer Review: A dream come true Summary: 5 Stars
I have wanted a graphics tablet for years, this is my first. I researched my choice pretty extensively and almost bought the 6x11 size. However, I found the 9X12 for only $50 more and went for it.
One of my concerns, never having owned a tablet, was that it would not be the smooth drawing experience I had hoped for. One reviewer stated that drawing too slowly or quickly produced angular lines and a lot of practice was required to achieve a smooth line. This is not my experience at all. I am a classically trained artist and I am able to "paint", draw and sketch quickly, smoothly and naturally. I am ecstatic with the results.
The size of the tablet is perfect and I couldn't imagine using a smaller one. My next dream is for a Cintiq.
Customer Review: Best accessory for artists and designers Summary: 5 Stars
I ordered my tablet on Amazon with a carrying bag last year, and I have never been unhappy with it. The customization on this tablet is an amazing time saver when working in photoshop and other programs. As a digital arts student, I am in need of the best technology for creating new work, and my Wacom tablet is definately my most often-used tool after my computer itself. I have never had any problems with any part of this item, and have since purchased the Wacom airbrush pen to go with it (another super buy). I would highly reccommend this product for anyone who is looking to excel in art or design, and if you are considering getting a tablet, this is the way to go.
Customer Review: A must have if your not afraid of digital. Summary: 5 Stars
This 9"x12" available digital tablet is actually 13"x17" as far as desktop real estate goes. The install software was easy and it meshed well with Photoshop. I've been reinvigorated to do more art now. There is still a learning curve on how to become comfortable and versatile with the Wacom grip pen and of course digital art software but I think it's well worth it.
Tip: Use or buy a cotton glove to preserve the surface of the Wacom and also place a clear, Mylar film over the surface to preserve the surface; just a note to prevent wear and tear. I opted out of the extra Nib Package but in afterthought I think it would be a good option.
