Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Wacom Cintiq 6D Art Pen - digitizer pen ( ZP-600 )

Customer Review: nice addition
Summary: 4 Stars

I bought this pen to use when painting in Corel Painter X. As others have said not all of the brushes make use of the "rotational" feature that this pen provides but it's really nice to use it with the ones that do.
In addition to the rotational aspect, what I find really cool is that you can switch off between this and your other wacom pen and Painter remembers what paintbrush was last used with that pen so if you're switching between two brushes frequently, it's just a matter of putting down one pen and picking up another.
Kind of expensive and I waited awhile to indulge myself but I'm happy to have it.
Though I'm also a frequent Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop user, I haven't tried it yet with those but my regular pen works fine there so I don't really care. Like I said, I bought this for Painter.

Customer Review: Very close to real
Summary: 4 Stars

This 'pen' is a BRUSH. Misleading to call it a 'pen' (the standard notation for this kind of device). If you have only 1 brush, have this one.

I am too locked into oil to allow myself the mental latitude to let one 'pen' be all my brushes. This does that.

I would like to pick up different (physical) brushes set to be different virtual brushes, so if somebody would make a SET of brushes (all preset to type) then I'll give the fifth star. Nobody comes close, right now.

Very nice and if you have the Cintiq, how can you not have this?

Customer Review: Nice Stylus
Summary: 4 Stars

I have used Wacom tablets for several years and love them. When the 6D Art Pen came available, I had to get it for my digital painting. Overall it's a great stylus and is more fluid then the Grip Pen stylus for digital painting.

The only real complaint I have is that the base to hold the stylus is the same as the Grip Pen. The problem lies with the fact that the 6D Art Pen is much wider and does not fit snug in the base, so it falls right over. It is annoying, but a minor complaint.

Customer Review: Great for graphic artists..
Summary: 4 Stars

I've just bought a Wacom Intuos table and decided to get some accesories to work on different things, so I bought this pen thinking it would be really helpful for a non-experienced tablet artist.

Personally I think that it is a great accesory but if you are not experienced enough using tablets, pens, etc, it may not be your best shot. Anyway, once you start using it and speding some time using it and trying it in different ways, you will notice how good it is.

Customer Review: i love this pen
Summary: 4 Stars

been using this pen for about 8 weeks now and it's been an outstanding edition to my digital arsenal. The only thing i dont like is the shape of the handle. It's thin and tall like the nib. If it were round it would feel better in the hand and let you manipulate line a bit easier. This is a minimal complaint tho. I use this pen much more often than the standard wacom pen.
