Dragged two of these all over the bush in Southern Africa for a two week photo safari. Worked perfectly under desert and swampy conditions. No problem with usb power on my little Mac G4 notebook. Backed up my irreplaceable photos flawlessly. Carried in a padded pouch in an overstuffed backpack. Bounced around the lower cargo bin of a couple bush planes. Bottom line= I am thrilled and will buy more for backup and archiving!Customer Review: Very Happy With Drive

This is a great drive and has speed as good as other USB 2.0 drives I have tested.
Pros:
small, light, easy to install, sturdy USB port cover, nice short USB cable
Cons:
It will never be without a fingerprint unless I wear gloves while hooking it up, surface scratches easily
I would have no problem recomending this drive to anyone that is not obsessive about clean accessories.

Great deal,
It comes with a cool software that lets you backup your computer files and settings.
Small.
Fast.
I have an 80GB HD. I compared it with this WD 250GB one,
the 250GB WD is even lighter than the 80GB.
That I liked about this product. I would buy more if I needed to!

The Western Digital WDXMS2500TN Passport 250 GB USB Portable Hard Drive has proven to me to be an excellent source of portable storage. It is easy to use and carry. The best part is there is no need to plug in to a power source. You only need to plug in the USB and its on.
I am using it for backup and storage of all my photo and music files.
I give this a 5 star rating.

I am a medical professional working in multiple sites. In my work, I have many writings ongoing simultaneously. With this drive, I can and do take my projects with me everywhere. The Case Logic case is the perfect accessory as well. The large capacity enables me to save my presentations as well as the documents without danger of running out of space. All in all, a wonderful product thus far.
