I found the whole process effortless. It is a 1-2-3 step process. There is no software to install. Insert the DVD, the software searches for the photos and click the record button. I tried the manual mode to consolidate photos that I had saved on various flash and USB drives. It just a matter of navigating the easy to use interface to the appropriate drive, select the photos you want to save and press the record button. The Photo Save DVD supports multiple recording sessions allowing you to add more photos later. The disk recognizes more than 80 different photo file formats and you can store approximately 2000 photos.
You know how vulnerable photos can be on a Harddrive, with the PhotoSave DVD you can make multiple copies of your photos easily and affordable. Every so often a new product hits the markets and literally blows your socks off. The Verbatim PhotoSave DVD-R is wonderful! Simply insert in your computer's dvd writer and the self contained software guides you every simple step of the way. We chose to scan our entire computer of all drives for all .jpg format pictures. The Verbatim PhotoSave found over 5,500! One click and all .jpg files were copied to the Verbatim PhotoSave disc for safe keeping. This is a great gift for anyone who stores pictures on their computer and wants a safe backup. The PhotoSave DVDs are the best thing since sliced cheese. They are easy to use, don't require software to be installed, and make a backup of all your precious photos for you. I like that when in manual mode you are able to add photos so you don't waste space. This item works exactly as advertised. I've even been able to add photos to the last disc and it lets me know when that disc is full and I need to insert an additional one.
