I remember a time, which is remarkable since I am only 23, when I had to pay 15 dollars for 10 CDR's. My how technology has come along. Truth is, sometimes I feel CDR's are another one of Amazon's dirty secrets. In the store, they can still cost you up to 30 dollars, but with Amazon Prime and 15 bucks, I received these in two days for half the cost.
They arrived timely, well packaged, and working perfectly. If your reading this, your most likely trying to decide if the Verbatim brand is worth the extra dollar or so then the Amazon CDR's, as all CDR's do the same job. I ordered both Amazon and Verbatim, as I wanted to experience, or truly see, if there was any difference. The Verbatim discs are a little better secured to the spindle, with some extra padding to keep them tucked in snugly. Is it worth the 1 dollar? Yes. They seem to have the same durability, the same capacity, and they will both definitely hold mp3's. With that said, CD's still scratch like no ones business. So the slight extra padding provided by the Verbatim is worth the dollar up cost from the Amazon brand. They also have a little bit more flashy look, which is always worth a dollar in my book.
Now sure, maybe I could take better care of them instead of leaving them under my seat with years worth of french fries, but buying 100 just works better for me. This product does exactly what it specifies, and Verbatim has taken steps to make sure the CD's remain protected. That is worth the low price and 5 star review. Buy, Burn, and Enjoy.
Customer Review: Finally a cd-r I can rely on

I have been burning copies of cds and my own made up music playlists for years. I've used many brands over the years with very little coaster discs meaning those that either didn't work or just wouldn't plain record. I just had an awful experiece with the Memorex cd-r discs. Out of 30 discs on average 25 did not work. I am not a novice at burning discs and know what I am doing. So I researched here on Amazon and wanted to give the Verbatim cd-rs a shot. I do most of my shopping with them for if something does not work they always provide hassle free returns. I know of no other place as amazing as Amazon. So I purchased these Verbatim cd-r discs after all my research knowing I could return them if there were problems. But I can honestly say there have been practically no problems with these. Out of 25 I have used there was 1 that did not work. For me that is fine. There is always a chance the occasional error disc will appear. But so far I have been able to make all my projects and burn cds error free.
The other great thing about Amazon is the fact that reviews by users and buyers are given such importance. Especially with items like this it is important for buyers to share their user experience. And saying that I highly recommend these discs.

Verbatim CD-R and DVD-R Media are both high quality media that have played back fine in every device I have ever tried them in during the last 8 years. I have burned approx 400 music CD-Rs and 250 video DVD-Rs using Nero/four different DVD burners in three computers and have played back on many, many different devices with zero problems that I can attribute to the media. If you want reliable burning and then reliable playback in non-computer devices, Verbatim is a good way to go. I have also heard good things about Fugi media, but never tried them as Verbatim has always worked fine for me. I once was told the quality of dye in the Verbatim and Fugi is higher than in most, and burned media will also last longer. My Verbatim CDs from 2002 still play fine, as do all my DVDs (just can't remember exacty how old they are). Of course I don't expose them to the elements in a car (sun and temp extremes) and I try to take good care of them. Amazon with Free Super Saver Shipping is the best place I have found to buy Verbatim Media.Customer Review: Great value for backup purposes...

There's not a lot I can say about blank media used for backup purposes. You pick what you need to back up, burn it to these CDs, and you're backed up. I ordered mine direct from Amazon & it was here the next day even though I got 2-day delivery with Prime... absolutely no problems. However, the discs smell when you open them... a LOT. This is a chemical smell that dissipates over the course of an hour or so, but I'm kind of wondering if I'm going to turn into a Marvel mutant of some sort after I got such a good whiff of these things. Other than the smell, they're great for backing up data & fit my needs perfectly.Customer Review: Simply The Best

I used to think that Maxell was the best. A holdover from the days when I bought Maxell cassette tapes, I think. As for CD-Rs and DVD-Rs, I haven't found anything better than Verbatim in terms of recording quality. Plus, I have an overly sensitive CD player in my car. It plays commercial CDs just fine, but many CD-Rs won't play. You put it in the slot and then it pops it right back out. That just doesn't happen with the Verbatim CD-Rs. My theory is that the CD-Rs that pop out are a tad too thick. Just a theory. Verbatim brand just seems to pay more attention to all the details. Simply the best.
