I was amazed when this little device worked with my Sony speakers (9v, proprietary plug) and then with a chinese 12 v "ZyXel" router from a client that had already rejected 2 power supplies.
It's also quite nice to look at, given its semi translucid case.
I agree with the reviewer "Lorenzo" that it'd be ideal to make sure that the voltage selector doesn't move.
It doesn't heat, and does provide enough Amps x hungry devices like speakers. It being regulated means as other reviewers already stated, that it does what's supposed to do: give the right amount of cuttent. No more.
It does block a bit of the plug (unlike, say, Sony's slim Voltage AC Adapter - 9V AC-E90A) but given its versatility, I'd rather take this for a "desert island"/ for a trip. Enjoy!

When the power supply of my Linksys wireless access point unexpectedly died I bought this one from Welleman to replace it.
I am extremely satisfied, this power supply is far superior to any OEM supply because it is electronically regulated: the voltage you set is actually the voltage you get (some OEM power supplies have outputs up to 70% higher than the intended voltage).
Also, this power supply does not heat up (again, because it is electronically regulated), and therefore less likely to overheat and fail.
One word of advice, though: I recommend putting some tape over the voltage selector in order to avoid any accidental voltage switching, which can be deadly for the equipment connected to the power supply.

I found this adapter worked very well, reasonably priced and provided many adapter tips. I use it for a portable radio. I went to a local store with the name starts with "Radio", got a teenager who did not know or understand what I was looking for. I found them on the wall rack, but this famous store is selling the adapters and the tips separately. I saved a lot by getting it on Amazon. It works perfectly, not giving off any heat at the housing, no unusual noise. The polarities are marked at the connection of the tips, just get your magnifying glass out. Turned my Remington MB-200 shaver into an international traveler. Before it had a two week visa. Now it has permanent residency. Thank you Velleman! Features international voltage input, dual cycle, multi-voltage output, compact and cool. Well engineered.
I discovered that some device's AC-DC adapters have loose output voltage. You may need to boost the Velleman's output voltage a notch above the device's voltage rating. Only do so if the Velleman isn't charging/powering the device properly.

Bought an iHome clock radio that suddenly stopped working. I suspected a power problem and asked iHome for help. I could send the unit in and wait for them to test/repair the problem, but that would be a couple weeks minimum. I decided to get an alternate adapater with a comparable rating/connection.
Glad to say the clock is working fine again and has been for a couple months.
