We use these to record from a dvd recorder/writer, usually from that unit's hard drive.
So far, some 10 of the disks have worked with no flaws.
Note that we are still waiting for the rebate check.
Five stars because the product works as advertised.

I burn 40+ discs already. Not a single coaster so far. At first, I thought that I will have some bad discs because the seller did not put any cushion in the package. All the spindle cases were cracked/broken. But it turns out that the discs inside the spindles seem to be OK.Customer Review: Worth it

Purchased these because the TDK DVD-Rs I was using were glitching when playing back videos. No problems with the Verbatims. Good price. The disks themselves are not as attractive as the printable disks, but who cares: it's the video quality that really matters.Customer Review: BETTER PACKING

BETTER PACKING "AROUND" THIS WOULD HAVE PREVENTED THE BASE FROM BEING BROKEN OFF WHEN IT ARRIVED; NO APPARENT DAMAGE TO DISC'S BUT WE'LL SEE WHEN USED. They were laid on their side with no under support, just enviting the inevitable damage that occured...Customer Review: VERBATIM DVD-R SPINDLE ROCKS!

Absolutely LOVE this product. I have had absolutely no errors using this product. No recording errors and no reading errors. Verbatim is the best blank media out there in my opinion..... and Amazon made it very affordable and quick to get. Thanks Amazon!!!
