These Verbatim DVD-Rs are the best quality discs I have ever used. With more than 1000 discs burned, I have only had maybe 4 or 5 duds, which is a 0.5% failure rate. I've used discs from Taiwan, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, and India, all of which worked just fine for me. I've also had NO problems with Amazon's shipments. The enhanced wrapper protection has been sufficient for me, unlike when I ordered from Office Max...Customer Review: very good DVDs

Those are very good and economic DVDs. I've bought two spindles of SONY before and the first spindle worked well. But none of the discs in the second spindle worked in my 8x DVD burner in Thinkpad T60. So I knew that SONY is not a real manufacturer of DVDs. After some research I decided to buy this one from Verbatim. It turns out no problem burning them. So I think Verbatim is a real manufacturer of DVDs. Of all the brands I've tried, Verbatim is the most compatible. As a Mac user, I've had to return hubs of TDKs and other brands because they just wouldn't burn consistently on a Mac Superdrive. I can burn a disk and hand it to a PC user with confidence that it will play on their computer as well. I've been counting on Verbatim for over 5 years now, thousands of successful burns with very, very few rejects.Customer Review: The best blanks I've ever used.

I have already reviewed the Memorex blanks & you can see it here at Amazon. The horrible quality of the Memorex blanks pushed me into buying Verbatim brand & I have to thank Memorex for doing so. I've bought Verbatim 4 times now & every time, they come in perfect order & every disc works. That's right, 400 discs & they all work. I will never switch to another blank for as long as I need them.Customer Review: Excellent except for shipping.

IMHO Verbatim dvd's are some of the best on the market. I have yet to find a bad disk (knock on wood). I use these for secondary archiving of photograph.
Amazon's price is great. My only concern is how they are shipped. As other reviewers have noted, Amazon just tosses the spindle in to a box with no packing material and the box could easily hold three or four spindles.
