Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Verbatim 95102 4.7 GB up to 16x Branded Recordable Disc DVD-R (100-Disc Spindle)Customer Review: Great value for backup purposes... Summary: 5 Stars
There's not a lot I can say about blank media used for backup purposes. You pick what you need to back up, burn it to these DVDs, and you're backed up. I ordered mine direct from Amazon & it was here the next day even though I got 2-day delivery with Prime... absolutely no problems. However, the discs smell when you open them... a LOT. This is a chemical smell that dissipates over the course of an hour or so, but I'm kind of wondering if I'm going to turn into a Marvel mutant of some sort after I got such a good whiff of these things. Other than the smell, they're great for backing up data & fit my needs perfectly.
Customer Review: IT'S VERBATIM, CAN'T GO WRONG! Summary: 5 Stars
For reliability and good quality you will hear and see Verbatim around a lot. I first bought Verbatim when the recordable and re-writable DVD-Rs where barely coming out (a while back no?). Never had a problem that I can remember. One can get the cheapest or more common blanks, I have done so (imation, memorex, etc.) but you will run into defective blanks at a higher rate with them. That's not the case with these, at least to say in my personal experience.
I'm not too picky or it depends on what I will use blanks for. These though, are reliable. Recommended.
Customer Review: I'm Hooked Summary: 5 Stars
I do not even shop around anymore for my blank 4.7 DVD's. The price for the Verbatim 16X Single-sided blanks cannot be beat and the quality has been perfect to date. I have learned with all of my blank media to set the record speed a bit lower than what is advertised and so it may take a few extra seconds to complete a project, but I can honestly say that I have never had a bad burn with the Verbatim discs. I have no idea why they are so inexpensive compared to other similar products, but at this point I just enjoy the savings and burn my projects with total confidence.
Customer Review: No coasters yet Summary: 5 Stars
I burn home video using a Sony DRU-810A drive, with preloaded Nero 6. I haven't yet had a single disc go bad on me. The dye appears to be well-distributed, of archival quality. I've burned just about a whole spool of 100 of these discs, and my console DVD player recognizes every last one. For 35 cents apiece, this is rock-solid storage.
*There's nothing intrinsically wrong with the discs. People who complain about these DVDs have burner, software, or hardware issues that they haven't figured out how to resolve. I get a full 16x every time.
Customer Review: Professional Grade Media Summary: 5 Stars
After reading a large portion of reviews from the relevent websites relating to burning DVD's,I was anxious to see what results I would get using these Verbatim disks. I am usually hesitant about commenting on products unless I have used them long enough to be sure of the average results. I have found that Verbatim disks are exactly as advertised when it comes to "Quality" and "Reliability" . These disks are the best I have ever used, bar none, and I have tried them all. If your looking for dependability, these are as good as it gets. !!!!
