Customer Review: Excellent quality. 400 burns and not one coaster!

Verbatim knows how to make a quality DVD+R. I have been through four 100-packs without a single coaster (or, in other words, a disk that doesn't burn correctly and ends up in the trash). It's easy to be tempted by the bulk or budget burnable CDs and DVDs, but you quickly realize that you're not saving money when you have to reburn half of the disks due to errors. In my opinion, it's worth it to spend the extra money on the Verbatim name.Customer Review: Get these, they work.

Burned 12 discs so far and none have resulted in a coaster. Mine were made in Taiwan which I read makes the best quality disc.
I had originally bought a 50pk of Maxwell from Walmart for $22 but upon researching I found many people had bad luck with them. Thankfully I had not opened them yet so I returned them and found a 100pk of Verbatim's for $20 (including shipping) on Amazon from [...]. What a steal!

This is my second purchase of 100 disc spindels of this type and I have yet to encounter a problem. The LG discs I used before these killed one of my drives while burning and that was only a 25 disc spindle. My other drive has lasted almost 200 burns so far with these discs. Pretty much the only kind I'm going to buy from now on. And yes they are identical drives installed at the same time by the same manufacturer.Customer Review: The best disks for the price, bar one

Aside from Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim disks are probably the best you can buy, and they're somewhat less expensive.
If you're looking for the best -- or near best -- blank DVDs for storing your stuff, this is the brand to go for. (For your most precious stuff, you might consider T-Y instead, but for general backups, or if you're going to make multiple copies, Verbatim is the way to go.)

I have burnt many DVDs on Verbatim (both +R and +RW) and Verbatim has excellent quality. Not a single disk went bad during burning, and I have had them for over a year and they are still working great.
Update in April 2007 - Since writing this review, I bought 2 more 100-pack spindles of these, and I can safeley say, I am yet to see a coaster. I would not go for any other brand.
