I've had these earbuds since they first came out in the iPhone version and came back here to buy a pair as a christmas present for someone else. I have nothing but positive things to say about the earbuds. They have great base for earbuds. That's a qualified great because a good pair cans (like Sennheiser) will blow them out of the water, but that's to be expected with earbuds. I first bought them because the buds that come with all apple products really don't fit my ears so I thought I'd give these a try. With the three different plastic insert thingies I was able to pick the right one that fits in my ears and they actually stay there.
I was honestly amazed at how many negative reviews are on here regarding the quality of construction. I use these almost every single day at work and haven't had any issues.

I wrote previous review about these amazing headphones a few days ago --when my second pair stopped working. Imagine how bummed and concerned I could be when I am flying internationally in a few days and the thought of not having headphones!! I called the customer service phone number (easily available via Google) and was immediately connected to an operator. After explaining my predicament, they expedited the return headphones to me -- I received them overnight! I am happy to say I'm back in business with a replacement pair and barely missed a beat. Hopefully V-Moda will solve these product reliability issues (it's an engineering fix, I'm sure they're onto some innovative solutions) and then these will definitely be an amazing pair of earbuds. My iPhone rocks! These headphones are the best sounding headphones I've ever owned. The deepness of the sound and the comfort of the fit is such an improvement over any others I've tried. I'm hearing pieces of songs that I've never heard before! Way, way better than the headphones that come with the iPod or iPhone.
I also have to give a shout out to v-moda's customer service. I had an issue with the set I had bought. I contacted v-moda through the website, quickly had a reply with a return authorization number, received e-mail updates when my product arrived at their facility, an update when they were going to ship, a tracking number, and a sincere apology for the problem. I now have the replacement headphones and I am back to rocking out! Quick, professional, and courteous. What more could you want?

I've owned these for about a month and have used them on several cross-country and one international flight; I'm delighted with them. The aluminum housing feels sturdy, and fits snugly enough to help drown out background noise. The profile is low enough that you can wear them and still lay our head down on a pillow to sleep. The cloth-covered cord is durable and less prone to tangling (for me, at least), and feels high-quality. The button is less convenient than the iPhone's stock "squeeze anywhere" design, but I've become used to it and the call quality is good. I'm not a major audiophile (I mainly listen on airplanes which is hardly an ideal sound environment), but you can definitely tell the difference between these and the stock 'phones; the sound is richer and more penetrating. These are the best earphones I've owned ever. I've had Shure's and given them away because none of the end pieces fit into my ear. These fit perfectly.
I've had cheap ones that failed to block the noise of the subway which resulted in me cranking the volume all the way up. I'll probably be paying for that with some form of hearing loss in the future. While these aren't noise canceling earphones, they sure act like it. I can easily hear my audiobooks on with the volume on medium on the train.
With the black fabric wrapped cable (which disguises the fact that yes, I am listening to an Apple device) and the "clicker" (what I call the button on iPhone headphones) these should be the first accessory new iPhone owners purchase.
