I've had these headphones for about a month and I am very satisfied with them. They fit very comfortably in my ears and provide great sound. I was a bit worried by the reviews that said the bass was overwhelming and muddy, but thankfully I have not found this to be true. I suppose it's a matter of personal taste.
The only disappointment I have with these headphones is that because they fit snuggly in the ear and block out outside noise, you can hear a kind of muffled sound whenever the wire touches anything. This is kind of annoying if you like to take walks and listen to soft music (with louder music you don't notice it). However, I believe you would get this muffled sound with any headphones that block outside noise, so this isn't a problem unique to these headphones.
The quality of these headphones really shows through when traveling on a plane, train, or bus. In these situations, I used to struggle to hear my music properly - iPod on full volume, pushing the earbuds further into my ears... Not anymore! Now in loud situations I can hear my music perfectly with the volume relatively low (and I don't hear babies crying or bits of other people's conversations!).

My only regret is that I didn't order these first. I was misled by reading too many reviews about sound accuracy and all that other hype.
The problem with reviews is that you can't hear them. I read the reviews not knowing really what I was looking for. It looks like most people and professional reviewers are hung up on the sound accuracy thing. I too was looking for the best sound ratings - and that was totally wrong.
What I was really looking for was these (V-Moda Bass Freq's). It was my 7th pair of canal style earphones (all different brands in the same price range) and as soon as I put them on, I could tell that these were actually different - and in a good way! Several of my other brands stated that they had "enhanced bass" or even "turbo bass". All I can say is B.S. These V-Moda's actually deliver. Where else do you see 800 plus ratings for a product?
Now your only problem is: What color? The black ones are usually cheaper but the red ones have a nice red cord to match the earpieces. I am actually tempted to try the Radius Atomic Bass Earphones which cost 2X as much - but there is really no reason that I need anything more - except my curiosity.

I've used quite a few of the earbuds in this price range and have to say that ears down, this set is the best.
As soon as they arrived I was anxious to try them. The first thing I noticed is they are extremely comfortable and slide in your ear without having to mash them into place. I fired up the touch and flipped to 4 Minutes and hit play. BOOM the bass went with these buds, not boom like my others. I mean, these really define the bass in your music. It's like the bass was rattling around in my skull. Not to mention I couldn't hear the treadmill I was running on at 7 MPH...they totally sealed out the noise surrounding me. Which is nice, but it also brings you into your own little music world.
The cord management system that it comes with is also handy. Finally, something to keep the cords from getting all tangled and knotted up that really works and doesn't take a lot of hassling with. Just a few quick wraps with your hand and your buds are safe from tangle and knots. Ingenious!
For $20 you can not go wrong here. You'll be amazed and what you've been missing with the other pair you've got stuck in your ears now.
Customer Review: Electronic Music Fans Look No Further...

I decided to get a pair of ear buds because my DJ headphones (Sony MDR V-700) were a bit too cumbersome for travel and every-day use. I was, however, skeptical that any buds could come anywhere near acceptable for the sort of heavy bass I expect from the giant $100 DJ phones. I listen mostly to Trance/House/Dance stuff and with that sort of music, feeling the beat is pretty much the whole point.
These things are amazing. The bass reproduction is unbelievable. If you're an electronic music fan, these are the buds for you, I guarantee it. For best results, I recommend using the largest set of silicone heads you can comfortably wear. You should also make sure that they are inserted properly. You'll be able to tell (push them in tightly until the sound is right, then let them relax in your ear). I found that the largest set (three sizes are included) provided the best sound- without a complete seal (i.e. the smallest pair that is the default)- the things sounded tinny and awful. The difference is really staggering.
In conclusion, if you need strong beats.... these are the buds for you. I cannot overstate how spectacular these little suckers perform.

After many years in the recording industry, I have a difficult time wearing regular headphones, as they bother my sensitive head. So, I've been on the search for an earbud style type of headphone that were both musical and comfortable. With many a false start with other brands of earbuds, I came across the 'bass freq's'.
After a relatively short burn-in period, these headphones really began to sound wonderful. Good tight bass (but not overpowering), crisp highs and balanced mids. They sound good on all types of music but really shine with genres of music that contain good acoustic or electronic bass.
They were so good, that I thought I was hearing things. So, I pulled out my $300 pair other earbud style of headphone to do some side by side analysis. To my surprise, the bass freq's sounded better than my so-called state of the art ear buds. They are so good, that I rarely use any of my other headphones that I have.
Since my first purchase, I have gotten a 2nd pair just in case anything happens to my original pair. All I have to say is that these earbuds are amazing for how little they cost.
