Customer Review: Best headphones/earbuds I've ever had
Summary: 5 Stars

Pros:
These are great sounding earbuds in my opinion. I have nothing much to compare them to except for the crappy earbuds that came with my Creative Zen and these really really old 90s Pioneer headphones. I wasn't looking for perfect sounding earbuds that block outside noise 100%, just great sounding ones that can block some outside noise. I don't even know what perfect sounds like so far though. I'd even be happy if they only blocked out 50% of outside noise. I'm using these on my Creative Zen, playing hip hop, rock, reggae, trance, and eurobeat. After choosing the equalizing settings depending on the type of music I'm listening to, they sound very clear, and the music has great bass. The bass to me sounds like subwoofers, and I really like that. Again I'm not an expert when it comes to sound, but if you're looking for headphones that deliver great bass that sounds genuine, these are ones to get that don't break the bank. Don't use the silicone tips that are too big for your ears. You can tell if they're too big for your ears if the music is muffled. If it's muffled, go a size smaller. I would recommend to start with the small size which are already fitted on the buds.

Cons:
Friends can talk crap right next to me when I have these headphones on and I won't even know lol. My left ear canal is slightly a different size compared to my right ear, so the equalization of the music is very minutely more to the right, but I can cope with that.

Customer Review: Holy Crap! - These earbuds rock hard!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought these earbuds to replace the stock ones that came with my Sandisk Sansa e250. The stock ones were o.k., but I was looking for more "feel" to the music. For me, the "feel" means low end - but I didn't want to sacrifice the high or mid clarity of the music, either. I just wanted the power of the music to translate to my ears. After researching the internet for virtually every earbud available, I landed on the Bass Freqs. I also didn't want to spend my paycheck on earbuds, so with a budget under $40, the description seemed to fit what I was looking for. I was also wanting comfort. The Sansa stock earbuds began to drive me crazy - just not the right fit. The V-Moda Bass Freqs have stunned me. Right out of the package, the bass seemed a little light, and I was ready to be a little disappointed. That is until I changed the silicone coverings to the mediums. Holy Crap! The fit was incredibly comfortable and then the low end just jumped into my ears. The clarity of the music came alive! Yeeeaaahhhhhh!!! Now that's the power I'm talkin' about! For the record, my Sansa is loaded with hard rock and metal - yes, I was a little nervous with the reviews of the Bass Freqs being designed primarily for hip hop and club music. Fear not heavy music lovers - you will not be disappointed! In fact, you'll be completely sold! When these flake out on me, I will be right back here on Amazon purchasing another pair of these babies! Unbelievable!!!

Customer Review: The first IEM style earphones I ever tried
Summary: 5 Stars

I have to say that these are great. The bass enhancement was my main reason for buying them because I listen to a lot of techno music. The sound is very good, Yes you loose some high end when you have so much bass, but it's not that bad at all.

The noise isolation is amazing and it gives an added benefit. When you use IEMs, you don't need a lot of volume to hear. That means you can protect your hearing. Everything around you is blocked out so well that you can use a small amount of volume. Even the weakest mp3 player can give you plenty of volume on these, so be careful. Always make sure the volume is down before putting them in.

I think these are well made, but you always have to handle this kind of product carefully. It's meant to be babied, not slung around and wrap tightly around things. I bought mine when they first came out and they are still working just perfectly.

The company even sent me a new silicone cable wrapper after I broke the tip off of mine.

I have used these as dj monitors a few times and they worked great for that.

There are many budget range IEMS asking for your money these days. For bass I would tell you to buy this one over any other. For all around sound, I would say go with the ones made by 2XL.2XL 2X-002W Spoke Wrecking Ball In-Ear Headphones (Black,Green)

Customer Review: Definitely as good as advertised!
Summary: 5 Stars

I got these V-Moda earbuds about 2 weeks ago as a replacement for the same old pair of $10 Philips earbuds I've been buying from Wal-Mart and Rite-Aid for the past year and a half or so. I wanted something that would give me great sound quality, but wouldn't break my bank. I use my headphones mostly for my iPod, which I usually listen to on the school bus in the morning and in the afternoon.

These couldn't be better at $25. They were a little hard to get used to at first, only because I'm not used to this type of earbud, but once I got used to the feel of them, they are so comfortable. The silicone fittings are great. For such a small earbud, they are fantastic at isolating sound while not having to be turned up too loudly, which is great for my bus rides. The bass is great, although at times it can be slightly overpowering depending on the song. I personally made some adjustments to the treble on my EQ, but some people like that type of overpowering bass, so maybe you won't feel the need to make any adjustments at all. These are definitely a great option for the hip-hop and rap fans out there.

Overall, I would say these are about a 4.7. There are only slight cons, such as the bass can be a bit much in some songs and they can be difficult to get in your ears if you're not used to this type of earbud. Once you find that sweet spot though, you'll never want to take them out. These earbuds are awesome.

Customer Review: Lovin' them so far!
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought a Sansa E-250 (reviewed elsewhere) which I really like. I thought the sound was good but I didn't care much for the earbuds. They were quite uncomfortable after wearing them awhile.

I began shopping around for replacements, but shopping online is difficult because you can't test the sound or the comfort. So, I relied on the good reviewers here at Amazon. My search led me to these V-MODA Bass Freq earbuds. I chose the black.

The only negative to these earbuds is the difficulty in getting them out of the packaging. Once that was done, I plugged them into the E-250 and gave them a try. You really need to experiment with all the earpieces. I started with the small but they were too loose to give good sound and they fell out. Like Goldilocks, I kept trying the different sizes, until I found the best fit. Once you find the best fit, you will also experience the best sound.

I was extremely pleased with the sound of these earbuds. They are far better than the ones that came with the Sansa and WAY more comfortable. I have not touched the equalizer yet, because I'm pleased with the sound, but I'll probably experiment with it to see if I can improve the sound even more.

These earbuds are a great bang for the buck. They sound great and are comfortable in the ears. It's a totally new listening experience.
