Customer Review: I still prefer sliced bread.

These buds make up in hype whatever's missing in sound. "Revolutionary" is the word showing through the near-impenetrable heavy-plastic laminate (have a blow torch and tweezers handy)--in sound, bass, style, convenience. Actually, they sound and look comparable to the Sennheiser CX300's to me. What you hear depends less on the ear buds than your choice of cover (three sizes are provided), the type of seal (some buds include ear sealant and a doctor's prescription for a having a molded form taken of the individual's ear before the final model is ready for insertion). We've come a long way with laser vision; look for laser-hearing as the next truly revolutionary development in ear buds.
In conclusion, not so revolutionary, but lower your expectations, take some time to adjust the tips in your ear canal, esperimenting with different sizes, degree of insertion, etc, and you should hear sound commensurate with your investment. The sound is a bit thin, the middle lacks warmth, the frequencies, at least, are "there"--pretty much par for the course in phones of this type.
Warning: as suggested above, it's been a long time since I've had to work so hard to extricate a product from its hermetically sealed housing. Also, these are quite "efficient" phones, playing louder than most other buds at the same low level of amplification. Little kids, especially, shouldn't be allowed to use these without supervision.
