My husband has been dropping hints that he wants a scanner for months, so I thought Valentine's Day would be the perfect excuse to suprise him with one. What better way to say I love you than with a gift only a wife would know her husband wants! Everyone I told gave me a confused look when I told them what his gift was, but I knew it would be a winner. Great radio. I take it to work and listen to it all day. Programs and runs the same as all uniden radios. You do need to read the instructions. For an experienced radio hound it is no trouble. For the beginner it has preprogrammed searches to get them started quickly. Great size and is well built. I currently own an 898T also and the sensitivity to signals are the same for both. This is the fifth Bearcat I have owned and it has not let me down!!!Customer Review: Great product

Scanner works just as advertised. It is small enough to carry around, but still have all the features of larger scanners. Do yourself a favor though and get a magnet mount or other style antenna for your vehicle for the best reception. This is probably the same for other portable scanners.Customer Review: works fine

I've had this scanner for a few weeks now and it works fine. I had a scanner previously so I had little trouble entering frequencies and otherwise getting it to work. It's small, but the sound is very good and it picks up signals well, in this mountainous area.Customer Review: Works Great

Scanner works great. It is easy to program if you know how to read and follow instructions and find desired frequencies on the web. Those that can't read and follow instructions will find this scanner impossible to put to use.
