Customer Review: A SCANNER THAT EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE!

This scanner is everything that I expected it to be. It's small and compact, it's easy to hear, it's easy to program, and it's very useful. The price was very reasonable and it was well worth the money. I don't go a day without listening to it and it goes everywhere with me. The only negative thing about it is the batteries don't last long and when I have it in the car, the signal isn't very strong. If you purchase it, make sure you use rechargeable batteries with it, or if you are home, just keep it plugged in using the adapter that comes with it. Other than that, I highly recommend this scanner to everyone.Customer Review: Excellent scanner

I have owned this scanner for over two months. It's sensitivity, scanning speed and clarity are outstanding. I have dropped this scanner many times on concrete and other hard surfaces thinking it is now broken....it was sill perfect. I recommended this scanner to my friends who have now purchased one for themslves. Everyone is impressed.
I would recommend MAHA 2700 maHr rechargable batteries for the best performance and dependability.
I have no complaints about this scanner.
Uniden now has a carrying case for this scanner which I would also recommend.

The Uniden BC72XLT Handheld Scanner is the first scanner I have ever owned. It performs better than expected. I say this because living in a mountainous area the distance the scanner picks up a signal has been excellent. I'm also pleased that I opted for the handheld. I had no idea I would be wanting to listen to a scanner so much. The size of this handheld makes it very easy to carry around. I use rechargeable batteries which have held a charge better than expected. (I rarely turn the scanner off.) Price was also very reasonable.Customer Review: Great little scanner!

I bought this scanner right after my husband became a deputy sheriff so I could keep up with what's going while he's on duty. I also like it for the weather band it has. I work swing shift & have to travel some at night, so it's a handy to have around. It's small enough to carry with you anywhere & is really easy to program. It can be programmed to pick up just about anything you'd like to listen to. I'm not sure what the range is, but it suits my needs really well. The price is good, too. Very good product. Works well on nearby signals..not so well for distant or weak ones..maybe external antenae would work better?(plus we live in the mountains)..but I like the portability and power source options..external ac (with included adaptor/recharger) or 2 aa batteries..(not included)..alkaline or rechargable nicd or nimh..batteries recharge while unit is plugged into the ac outlet and in use. I recommend buying the nimh rechargable batteries, because premium alkalines don't last long.
