Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Ultralast ULA100AAAB Alkaline Battery Bulk PackCustomer Review: Not Very Powerful, But Cheap Summary: 2 Stars
As was the case for many reviewers of these batteries, they do not last very long and some seem to be near "death" as soon as installed. But... I needed a whole lot of AA and AAA batteries fast and Amazon's pricing for the decent batteries is unbelievably high - really high. It is a much better deal to wait for a sale at your local Target/Wal-Mart/Lowes or even corner drug store for the name brands.
But as I said I needed a bunch of these fast - my wife had unearthed her massive reserve of Christmas candles, angels, elves, Mr. & Mrs. Santa's, along with - oh - dozens of other little cheap Christmas window decorations. All of which need anywhere from two to six AA or AAA batteries in order to light up. And these items go through the batteries at a phenomenal rate regardless of the battery quality! So I was not about to order the better brands at exorbitant prices, and my dear wife was not going to allow me to put off lighting up this army of window blinkers until a local battery sale took place!
So I ordered a LOT of these half-dead cheapies! Guess what? They are pretty bad, but they don't seem to get eaten any faster than the good stuff by the blinking masses, so IMO that makes them perfect for this specific kind of usage.

Customer Review: Not a good buy for the money Summary: 2 Stars
While the batteries that did not fall apart have done fine, more than 30 out of the 100 batteries have "dissolved" in their packaging. The printed labels wipe off in your hand and the batteries are oily and make a mess in your hand or any appliance you put them in. An additional 15 out of the 100 did not have a full 1.5V charge as they came out of the packaging. If saving money is your main objective and you want to take the risk - go ahead. Otherwise I would say spend a little more and buy another brand.
Customer Review: leaked in shrinkwrap after less than one year Summary: 2 Stars
These batteries ruined one of my good expensive LED flashlights. The flashlight was stored at room temperature and batteries were inserted less than a year ago. To my horror the unused batteries were also leaking inside the shrinkwrap in the box of "new" batteries. I don't see an expiration date. They are made in China. They seem like a good deal at first, but I won't be buying these again.
Customer Review: Lost Most of Them to Corrosion Summary: 2 Stars
I've never had storage problems with batteries before but, over time, the unused batteries kept corroding and had to be thrown away. I have a couple dozen left and they are wrapped in paper towels to keep them from touching each other in hopes of saving them.
Added later: The paper towels didn't work and I ended up trashing the remaining batteries.
Customer Review: You get what you pay for. Summary: 2 Stars
These batteries are cheap, in every sense of the word. It isn't about how many batteries you get for your dollar; it's about how long your CD player will run on a dollar's worth of batteries. And in this case, the short battery life cancels out the low price per battery.
