Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Ultralast UL-123/2 3V CR123 Photo Lithium Battery Retail PackCustomer Review: Not the best value Summary: 3 Stars
If you absolutely only need two and you won't be using them much then these might be OK. I tried them in my duty light and they only lasted a few months. I suggest that for a much better value you consider 10 pcs Energizer Lithium CR123A 3V Photo Lithium Batteries. They are much less expensive per battery and will probably last longer (I'm still on my first pair).
Customer Review: Works, but not for long Summary: 2 Stars
I have found that with Alkaline batteries and Lithium Ion much like Consumers Reports
findings that off brands of similar technology batteries work just as well and as long.
I have been using Duracell CR123's in my remote weather station receivers and they last
about a year. I have purchased the Ultralast on two occasions because sometimes you
can obtain some old stock. This last time the expiration was in 2012, and I didn't get
6 months out of them again. So I suppose the Consumers Reports may be valid for AA,
AAA's, but this is not my finding for these special CR123's. So I am disappointed
The biggest bummer is that often these are not prime eligible because they are
fulfilled by marketplace sellers, so I often have to pay shipping that is as much
as the batteries themselves. If they last the proper time, there is no sense
in buying in quantity as they will just sit there losing power over time.
So I need to buy fresh each time. This effectively doubles the cost of the
batteries. So I expect to get a year out of the Ultralast if I always get
a year out of the Duracell. Not the case... twice..
Customer Review: Same price, worse performance Summary: 2 Stars
I bought the Ultralast 2-pack as a filler item. Out of the box, one cell measured 100% on my ZTS tester and the other one measured 80%. Not acceptable, AND hazardous to use in 2-cell lights (the weaker battery can burst and start a fire).
It is not hard to find Energizer, Duracell, Panasonic, or Rayovac CR123A batteries online for about $2.00 each. Or even off-brand Titanium or Battery Station for $1.00 each. But every cell from these manufacturers shows 100%, in my experience.
Customer Review: New Packaging "Not for use in flashlights" Summary: 2 Stars
I recently bought these batteries because i needed new batteries for a flashlight. When the product arrived their was a small white sticker that said, "Not for use in flashlights". The description that Amazon has does not say that. Considering it would cost more to ship back than i paid for them i decided to try it. I only have turned my flashlight on for a few seconds at a time, but so far it is still bright. I don't know why they the new packaging said "not for use in flashlights".
Customer Review: Disappointed to say the least Summary: 2 Stars
I guess I was expecting to get some lifespan on the battery, even if they were only $2.50 when I purchased them... I popped them into my camera, took photos of the sunrise which took all of about 30 mins and looked at the battery life and it was already depleted 50%! Needless to say I have about one more shoot of battery life so I'm using it sparingingly. All I have to say is you get what you pay for!
