These batteries are cheap, in every sense of the word. It isn't about how many batteries you get for your dollar; it's about how long your CD player will run on a dollar's worth of batteries. And in this case, the short battery life cancels out the low price per battery.Customer Review: Disapointed

These were sent to my Grandchildren for their Christmas toys. My Daughter called to tell me that about 1/3 of them did not work. They wouldn't make the kids toys work. Don't try to save money, buy the more expensive one so the ALL work.Customer Review: ....Very Poor Quality Control

This review is actually a rewrite of an earlier review of mine that was favorable. I bought this large lack of AAs based solely on the price and convenience of ordering here. These batteries come in sealed packages of 4 at a time. At first all the batteries that I used were fully charged and seemed fresh. I left a positive review based on the early usage. As time went on however it was obvious that a lot of the reviews left here as to dead batteries and leakage have proven to be right on the mark. And they are far from so old that age can be used as any excuse for it. Picking up one of these batteries, or opening a new sealed 4 pack is a mystery as to their charge every time. Sometimes one or two batteries out of a 4 pack will be completely dead, while other times its the entire pack that is a throw away. I would say that on average at best 50% of of these batteries are fully charged and usable. If that wern't bad enough, the other reviewers here that have mentioned leakage are also accurate. I have not only had these batteries leak in various devices, but have opened 4 packs that already have supposedly "fresh" batteries that are leaking. All in all, I would have to say that these are the poorest batteries for quality and quality control that I have ever come across. I would not recommend them at any price. But if you do decide to take a chance anyway, make sure you own a battery tester, you are going to need it....Customer Review: These Batteries Are Terrible

My experience with these batteries, both AA & AAA, over almost a year is awful. When I first received them and only visually inspected most of them, they looked fine. Over a period of five or six weeks, 50% of them were corroded. Some leaked more than others (always from the negative end). Of the remaining batteries, many tested less than half charged and when these were tried in electronic devices anyway, they either did not work or became depleted almost immediately. These are the only batteries I have ever used that had completely dead ones right out of the box. As weeks went by, additional batteries leaked and became corroded. I checked the batteries previously installed in devices that were being used only infrequently and the mechanism, in most cases, had become corroded by the batteries or the batteries had become corroded but had not yet effected the device.
I kept no statistics on these batteries unfortunately, but my educated guess is that less than 15% of the entire package performed as I could reasonably expect. The amount of time and aggravation I experienced is worth more to me than the lower price provided. New top grade batteries were stored next to these with no problems at all. As one previous reviewer has stated, I don't understand why Amazon keeps this product in their listings.
I did discover that WD-40 does a good job of neutralizing battery acid and requires just minor cleanup.

I specifically ordered these batteries with the intention of using them for my digital camera on a recent trip I took to Europe for 10 days. I went through ALL BUT EIGHT of the batteries during this time. I had to change my batteries AT LEAST twice a day. I am extremely dissatisfied with this product - I not only wasted my money, it was a constant aggravation having to change them so often and bring along so many "back-ups". I did in fact read the customer reviews before ordering, and despite the indication of battery failure by others, I decided to take my chances. However, I not only suggested that my money be refunded, but that this product be made unavailable for future consumer purchase. Amazon did in fact refund my money and I submitted a report to their investigations team. I would believe that a simple AA battery is a rather basic item to correctly and consistently manufacture. This product takes advantage of that reasonable assertion that when one buys a battery, it will in fact function properly. I would have done better hooking up my camera to a potato.
