Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Tripp Lite U026-016 USB2.0 16-Feet Certified Active Extension CableCustomer Review: Reliable and working well after 5 months Summary: 5 Stars
After noting that many reviews here are from people who have owned a product for only a few days, I decided to withhold my comments until I have had several months experience with the product. I bought this in September and have been using it continuously since.
I bought this cable in order to install a document camera, a digital microscope, and a wireless keyboard receiver in a central location a considerable distance away from my classroom computer. Combined with a 4 port USB extension hub, all of my USB devices work flawlessly over this cable.
Customer Review: Works as advertised Summary: 5 Stars
I Recently bought two Tripp lite USB2 16ft. active extension cables to hook up my PC to my Epson 1400 printer which was on a table 25ft away. Transfer speeds seemed to be acceptable for large pictures and I like the way the USB plugs light up when powered so there is no guess work whether the hook up is good. The only down side was that the cables were a bright braided silver not black as in Amazons sales picture, so I had to do some fast talking and a lot of cable hiding to convince my wife that they wouldn't clash with her interior decoration.
Customer Review: Works. As it should ! Summary: 5 Stars
I have two of these daisy chained. They work as they are suppose to and I am very happy !
I wanted to be able to watch internet content in my living room on my Bravia and needed a means to get my optical keyboard and mouse active in that room so I could control things. This product simply extended the reach of the optical receiver for the mouse and keyboard and waa laa ... I can now run my computer on my Bravia in my living room ! Of course I have a dual output high end video card with a DVI link to my TV to make this happen also !
Customer Review: Works great! Summary: 5 Stars
There are already over two dozen five-star reviews, so I'll just echo the consensus that this cable works great. It's definitely a USB 2.0 cable -- I have a USB device that will not work with a USB 1.1 connection. I use this cable to connect my Xbox 360 to my Xbox Vision camera, which is about over 20 week away, and it works great.
I previously had a powered USB hub at the half-way point, but that hub died. This cable is much better -- no need to plug it in, and I don't need any other USB cables to reach my device.
Customer Review: Quality-That Does What (or More) than it States Summary: 5 Stars
I'm Very Satisfied. I also purchased similar cable from another source. It was 3 x longer than the Tripp Lite with just a third more cost...so I thought...oh well, buy it too. However it did not hold to a true 2.0 USB certified Active Extension speed like the Tripp Lite. I used my webcam and at several settings: lowest to a 2MB video recording. Only the Tripp Lite work properly from the lowest, mid and highest recording setting. The other cable would not work at all the mid or highest webcam setting.
