Even though I did not recieve exactly the one pictured, I did recieve the correct item as far as the part number. I used it to extend to my Epson R1800 photo printer, about a total lenth of 37 feet (including this active cord) andworked PERFECT right from the start!!! I read one other review that claimed this cord did not work at 2.0 but only 1.1, mine Does work at 2.0 speed. My "OLD", well used and I mean VERY well used Sony Vaio computer had no trouble loading this cord as a "gen" hub and the printer was found instantly even with this junk operating system, "VISTA". I would recomend this cord, works GREAT!!!Customer Review: Used with 32' of additional USB cable!

I needed 45' of usb cable to operate a cordless keyboard. I purchased 3 16' USB cables (cables unlimited) but the keyboard was only functional if I used two of them connected together. Reviews of this ACTIVE usb cable were favorable so I made the purchase, attached it directly to the computer and then in series with the 2 existing usb cables...the wireless keyboard has worked flawlessly since! That's 48' of USB cable!! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking to extend your usb connectivity beyond 32'. If 32' or less then buy 2 16' USB 2.0 cables (cables unlimited) for $10...Customer Review: Well made product works as advertised

I bought this for work where an employee is using his printer on a credenza across from his desk. To run the USB cable between them is about a twenty foot run, so this sixteen foot extension cable added enough length to make the connection. The cable has been functioning perfectly since I installed it a month ago, maintaining the proper USB signal that the printer requires.
I have no prior experience using Tripp Lite cables (having always used Belkin in the past), but this product is well made and works as expected. I'd buy a Tripp Lite cable again if the need arises.

I installed the Tripplite active usb extension to increase the length of the RadioLabs usb powered wifi antenna on my sailboat - I can easily pick up a 15dBm signal at usable strength at 1/2 mile. It worked fine with no apparent speed reduction while I stream video over the 11 mbps B network. An added bonus is the red led in the translucent female connection block - kind of cool. When plugged into the notebook for the first time my XP software recognized the new active extender device and installed generic driver. I needed this extension to move my computer to the 2nd floor and still be able to use it with my 1st floor tv. Connected to another 2m regular extension and connected the Belkin USB 2.0 4-Port Ultra Mini Hub F5U407 Belkin USB 2.0 4-Port Ultra Mini Hub F5U407 at the end. I use it with 2 Xbox360 controllers, a wireless mouse and an usb Ir for my windows media remote. No lags on any of the devices. The only thing that did not work was an external usb powered HDD; but it doesnt matter since the purpose was for gaming and using windows media center on the 1st floor TV.
