I bought the cable for use with a canon SD780 camera. It securely attached to the camera and my HDTV. I found that the miniHDMI side was adequately narrow to fit into the plug on the tiny SD780. It works perfectly. I was a little concerned by some bad reviews, but figured I'd give this cable a try considering that it was 1/3 the price of other miniHDMI-HDMI cables I looked at. I'm glad I did.
NOTE: HDMI is entirely digital. The 1's and 0's either transmit or they don't. You won't get a "better" picture by using more expensive cables. Here, because this cheap cable works, there is no reason to ever get a more expensive one.

I got this cable to hook up my Canon HF100 to HDTV. I like all the new stuff, but paying $5-$8 for Blu-Ray RW is little too much, so for right now I simply connect my camcorder directly to the TV. Sometimes HD is the only way to go, especially when we are talking about those special moments. Cable looks and feels very solid, and the length is adequate to hook it up to the back of the 52" TV, if the side HDMI connectors are not available. Picture quality is excellent and I had not problems hooking it up to two different HDTVs. For me it is pretty good way to bring high definition in poor man's home. With the mixed reviews on this item, I ordered this cable with some hesitation. But what the heck! I'll take a chance. I just bought a similar cable at my local computer store. I paid $40. The more expensive cable not only doesn't perform any better, it doesn't appear to be made as well as the cable I purchased here for only a few dollars. Unlike the cable I purchased here, the more expensive cable doesn't even have gold plated jacks. Needless to say, the more expensive cable is being returned. I am using the Tripp Lite cable with my Panasonic Lumix ZS3 camera. It works great!Customer Review: exellent compatability

Works great for computer video cards that have a mini hdmi output. Handles bi-directional data too. Very pleased with this product. I bought these cables because the mini-hdmi to full-hdmi adaptor that came with my video card interferes with the computer case,this is a big prolbem with many gigabyte/gforce video cards, it is a design flaw by the video card manufacturer. This cable plugs in straight and with plenty of clearence. It is the complete solution if you are haveing prolbems with a mini-hdmi to full hdmi adaptor. This is a great quality cable. I bought it to put in my 7D camera bag. I have used it a bunch of times and I'm very happy with it. The end connectors are quality. I have used a couple of other HDMI cable and the connectors tend to bend out of the plastic. These are definitively a better quality. Much better then the more expensive ones that I have bought at Best Buy.
It's a great quality cable, and they shipped the same day I ordered it. I got it in the USPS mail just 3 days later.
