This cable is a welcome alternative to the higher priced cables at local electronic stores. It has no frills -- it just does the job that needs to be done. Make sure when using this cable that the tiny plastic covers are removed from the connectors -- they are very difficult to see. This cable arrived promptly and does the job at $3 just as well as any $25 cable from Radio Shack. The cable is thin, looks maybe a little fragile, and the connections are not really tight, so I wouldn't use it in a situation with a lot of plugging/unplugging or sharp bends, but in my case it just sits behind the TV permanently and works great.Customer Review: Perfect for the Job

Great price for this cable--much less expensive than from the big box stores. An optical cable will improve the quality of your audio. It is even apparent to non-audiophiles. Just remember with these cables that you have to remove the protective rubber covering from both ends before plugging it in to your components or the cable will not fit.Customer Review: Can't beat it for the price

This digital cable is very bare bones, but it worked great for linking between my PS2 and my Sony receiver. It is able to carry the digital signal without a problem. Why someone would purchase Monster cables is beyond my understanding seeing that I spent a few dollars to purchase the same length of cable that could have costed 20 or 30 bucks.Customer Review: Cheap, good build quality

Please people, get over the fact that the more expensive cables are a straight-up rip off. This cable represents value (it's cheap) and quality (sturdy build) and that's all you can ask for from a Toslink cable. 0's and 1's simply don't disappear into the ether because they're being carried in a cheap cable.
